La infame casa de Moisés.
Hubo un tiempo en Venezuela donde ocurrían apagones muy frecuentes, la población fue testigo de que la nación llego a padecer hasta 14 horas sin energía eléctrica, esto sucedía de noche la mayoría de las veces.
There was a time in Venezuela when there were very frequent blackouts, the population witnessed that the nation suffered up to 14 hours without electricity, most of the time at night.
En pleno apogeo cuando eso ocurría yo tenia como costumbre reunirme con un grupo de panas en la casa de un amigo que se llama moisés.
In my heyday when that was happening I used to meet with a group of friends at the house of a friend named Moses.
Allí encendíamos lamparas que aprendimos hacer con botellas de vidrio, gasoil y un mechero conformado por un retaso de alguna tela fuerte.
There we lit lamps that we learned to make with glass bottles, diesel oil and a lighter made from a piece of strong cloth.
Una de tantas noches que estábamos reunidos, a mi me dio sueño, me sentía agotado por la rutina del día, llame a moisés aparte del grupo y le pedí permiso para acostarme un rato en la hamaca que estaba colgada en la sala de su hogar, Moisés contesto: "bueno si tu quieres, ve y acuéstate, no te preocupes".
One of the many nights we were together, I got sleepy, I felt exhausted by the routine of the day, I called Moses apart from the group and asked him permission to lie down for a while in the hammock that was hanging in the living room of his home, Moses replied: "well if you want, go and lie down, do not worry".
Cuando pase a la sala no veía absolutamente nada, me regrese al porche que era donde estaban los demás muchachos y le digo a Moisés que me haga el favor de iluminar con la linterna de su celular, él accedió y así logre visualizar la hamaca.
When I went to the living room I could see absolutely nothing, I went back to the porch where the other guys were and I told Moises to do me the favor of illuminating with the flashlight of his cell phone, he agreed and so I could visualize the hammock.
Sin embargo Moisés se acordó que había una vela en uno de los muebles del sitio y la encendió, luego de eso me dijo: "voy a estar con los muchachos en el porche, cualquier cosa me llamas".
However, Moses remembered that there was a candle on one of the furniture in the place and lit it, after that he told me: "I'm going to be with the guys on the porch, call me if you need anything".
Ya estando acostado y muy cómodo en la hamaca de la sala, empece a columpiarme lentamente aun despierto viendo hacia el techo. Escuchaba las voces de los muchachos que hablaban de experiencias de viajes, chistes, chalequeo etc... Aproximadamente eran las 10:30pm de la noche.
Once I was lying down and very comfortable in the hammock in the living room, I started to swing slowly while I was still awake and looking at the ceiling. I listened to the voices of the guys talking about travel experiences, jokes, chitchat, etc.... It was about 10:30pm at night.
En el momento que logre conciliar el sueño hacia mi descanso, con la mente en blanco sin nada de que preocuparme, transcurrieron como 03:00 minutos, misteriosamente sentí como los mecates de cada extremo de la hamaca se tensaron y fui arrojado al suelo, reaccione muy sorprendido diciendo "mier·$%&@" anonadado por lo que aconteció sin moverme de la sala, llame a Moisés y se acerco de inmediato y me preguntó: "¿Qué sucede, que sucede?". Respondí: "Me tumbaron de la hamaca". Moisés no supo que decirme, solo me dijo: "Eso no es nada, a mi me han sucedido cosas peores, vente no te quedes aquí solo".
At the moment I managed to fall asleep towards my rest, with my mind blank with nothing to worry about, about 03:00 minutes passed, mysteriously I felt how the ropes at each end of the hammock were tightened and I was thrown to the floor, I reacted very surprised saying "sh-$%&@" stunned by what happened without moving from the room, I called Moses and he came immediately and asked me: "What is happening, what's wrong? I answered: "They knocked me out of the hammock". Moises didn't know what to tell me, he just said: "That's nothing, worse things have happened to me, come, don't stay here alone".
Desde esa vez no entre mas nunca en la noche a la casa de Moisés, deduje que habían espíritus en su casa que no le agradaba mi presencia.
Since that time I never entered Moses' house at night, I deduced that there were spirits in his house that did not like my presence.
