The WOO Discord received some pretty sad news today. Kevin Sullivan, known as the "Taskmaster," recently passed on at the age of 74.

@bookerman calls him the OG Booker Man and James aka Wrestling Shoots Interview has also chimed in with a tribute video on YouTube. Here's a brief look at Sullivan's remarkable career and the legacy he leaves behind (courtesy of WSI's YouTube video of course).

  • Born on October 22, 1949, in Boston, Massachusetts.
  • A high school athlete who initially earned a scholarship to Boston College for football.
  • Transitioned to professional wrestling around 1969, initially wrestling under the name Johnny West.

• Notable Wrestling Persona:
  • Best known for his heel character and creation of the "Army of Darkness" in Florida.
  • Sullivan's occult-like character became iconic in the wrestling world.
  • Frequent rivalries with major stars like Dusty Rhodes and Barry Windham.

• Booker and Creative Influence:
  • Gained respect as a booker, heavily influenced by Eddie Graham.
  • Instrumental in the early success of WCW's New World Order (NWO).
  • Known for his "heel Booker" philosophy, prioritizing the dominance of villains to elevate storylines.

  • His involvement in the formation of the Dungeon of Doom, a group of wrestling "misfits" that feuded with Hulk Hogan and others.
