Week 95 of my SplinterDiary📝📚, Pizza 2🍕 Brawl Report⚔️🛡️ & SplinterNews 📰 — "Is Land Finally (almost) Ready?"

It's been an interesting week for crypto. The initial news about FTX being allowed to sell a few billion of their assets caused a sudden plunge in the markets. However, everything has since gone up even higher than before. At this point, I think the only definite thing is that no one can exactly predict with 100% certainty whether the markets will rise or fall. 🤣📈📉

On the Splinterlands dev side of the game, the Twitter contest to win Chaos Legion packs seem to have turned into a semi permanent fixture as it has been renewed for yet another week again! Also, is Land finally ready for it's proper launch? 😱

But before I go into detail...

A brief introduction before I start though...

Good Day to all Splinterlands players! (and people of HIVE! 😜) I've made it a point to blog about my weekly progress and experiences in Splinterlands/HIVE in my "weekly diary". Splinterlands & HIVE are what I'd consider to be my entry point into the World of Crypto, and I intend to use this as a means to look back on the path I've taken in the years ahead.⏳⏳⏳

This is now the 95th consecutive week writing in my Diary (of sorts) detailing my Splinterlands Journey ever since I started this game. I talk about what has gone on my personal Splinterlands playing experience, my weekly Guild Brawl Reports, and also any Splinterlands ingame news. 🎉🥳🎊

No week goes by in Splinterlands without some news event happening though. And here's my pick of some of the most interesting ones in my opinion. 📰📰📰

This has been a really hectic day for me. Today just happened to be the End of Season and I spent a good part of my lunchtime trying to make the cutoff for the Silver Leagues on both my accounts so that the next season's End of Season chests would be of the Silver quality.

Fortunately, I managed to finish the season in Silver for both my alt and main. However, I was unable to push through to the Silver 1 standard needed to restart the new season in Silver and will instead be restarting from Bronze. I guess I'll have to go through a bit of "Bronze Hell" over the next few days.

I don't think my EOS rewards were anything to shout about. In fact, I'd even say they were slightly disappointing with no "big" chests of SPS or Chaos Legion packs. At least I managed to get a Legendary card and a gold foil on my main? 😁

My quest for more Gold Foil Legendary cards from my rewards chests continues on ("Greed is Good!" 😈). It's a 0.008% chance, at base level, to pull a legendary gold foil, in case you were wondering 😉. Here's to more jackpot strikes in the future (i hope) 🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀.

My main regularly picks up the ✨🏅✨Gold Foil Chaos Legion Only Fray no.12✨🏅✨ while my alt takes up the ✨🏅✨Bronze Chaos Legion Fray no. 7✨🏅✨ every week.

An 8-0 performance from my alt and an almost perfect follow up from my main who achieved a 5-1 score. I was so close to achieving a perfect run on both accounts! Oh well, I guess I have to be satisfied with "almost perfect" then.

PIZZA 2 Guild managed to finish in 1st place! 🏆🏆🏆

This was an amazing result and to be honest, it caught me by surprise too! We had slightly more participants this week but as compared to other guilds, we're still far short from being able to fill out the guild frays. In fact, it even seemed that one of our members completely failed to submit any battles and it ended up being a 0-7 loss. Everyone else put in a near perfect performance to just edge out the 2nd placed guild to get the first place!

Great Job from everyone who took part in the Guild Brawls! I'm proud of you all! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

On a sidenote, we've still got some unfilled frays too so...

I've no idea if this is going to become a permanent fixture, but this is the 4th week in a row that Splinterlands is giving out free chaos legion packs to 5 lucky winners!

Is this an indication that Land is finally ready to be released? It has become somewhat of an inside joke about when Splinterlands will finally have their "Lands" up and running.

If this is any indication though, it's at the 90% stage following which it will be deployed to the Mavericks server for testing. That's usually a sign that it will shortly make it to the Live servers for launch. Fingers crossed!
