Usually, I would say that it's that day of the week in which I find the most interesting Splinterlands experience I've had over the past week to share! However, in celebration of another monumental Bitcoin Halving event, I will instead talk about Splinterland's very own celebratory promo event - The Baron's Bounty!

But first, a quick look at what happened this week in the world of crypto.

It was a pretty chaotic week in my opinion. Jitters over war plunged BTC down below $60k at one point of time. However, once those worries passed, the news about BTC's halving has seen it rise back to a somewhat steady level of around $65k. From 6.25 BTC per block, the halving event has seen BTC mined drop to 3.125 instead. How will this affect the pricing in the immediate future? We will have to wait and see how the market responds in the coming weeks ahead. 📈🚀

A brief introduction before I start though...

Good Day to all Splinterlands players! (and people of HIVE! 😜) I've made it a point to blog about my weekly progress and experiences in Splinterlands/HIVE in my "weekly diary". Splinterlands & HIVE are what I'd consider to be my entry point into the World of Crypto, and I intend to use this as a means to look back on the path I've taken in the years ahead.⏳⏳⏳

This is now the 126th consecutive week writing in my Diary (of sorts) detailing my Splinterlands Journey ever since I started this game. I talk about what has gone on my personal Splinterlands playing experience, my weekly Guild Brawl Reports, and also any Splinterlands ingame news. 🎉🥳🎊

No week goes by in Splinterlands without some news event happening though. And here's my pick of some of the most interesting ones in my opinion. 📰📰📰

This week's Social Media Challenge is all about the Bitcoin Halving Event in Splinterlands! More specifically, this is about the announcement of the Baron's Bounty Bitcoin Halving Promo Event!

The event is scheduled to run for 15 days starting from the 16th April and will allow players the chance to purchase two new limited-edition promo cards for DEC tokens or Credits with the option to reduce the price by half using Vouchers!

The Legendary (Baron Fyatt) and the Rare (Henchling Enforcer) promo cards are both dual-element units with the Halving ability as you can see in the picture of their stats below.

As for their cost? Baron Fyatt costs 31250 DEC while the Henchling Enforcer costs 3125 DEC. I'm pretty sure the pun is intended here by making their prices reflect the new amount of BTC/block mined after this halving event too!

Will you be getting these cards? In my opinion, both of them look pretty strong especially since they come with the very rare HALVING ability. Even the strongest unit can be negated once they hit their targets.

I definitely can appreciate how utilising the most of these 2 cards strengths can lead to unexpected outcomes. This is one of those situations in which a well timed attack from the halving ability could lead to a huge advantage for your team. The role every single carefully selected unit brings to the battlefield will give a player the edge in squeezing out every tiny advantage to get the win. 👍🏻

For any players who feel daunted with the new battle level changes, I hope this article has given you some insight into the potential of every single card regardless of it's level. 😉
