This week's sudden sharp rise in the crypto markets has everyone talking about crypto again. It seems that as more noise about Wall Street and their ETF plans gain steam, the bulls seem to have awoken from their slumber. Time will tell if this will just lead to another round of profit taking and sell offs. 📈📉

On the Splinterlands dev side of the game, HUGE NEWS has come in the form of the launch of REBELLION! Well, I wouldn't actually call it a launch yet, but more of a presale. How was the numbers? Does this bode well for the future of Splinterlands? Will Rebellion be the shot in the arm Splinterlands needs? 😱

But before I go into detail...

A brief introduction before I start though...

Good Day to all Splinterlands players! (and people of HIVE! 😜) I've made it a point to blog about my weekly progress and experiences in Splinterlands/HIVE in my "weekly diary". Splinterlands & HIVE are what I'd consider to be my entry point into the World of Crypto, and I intend to use this as a means to look back on the path I've taken in the years ahead.⏳⏳⏳

This is now the 100th consecutive week writing in my Diary (of sorts) detailing my Splinterlands Journey ever since I started this game. I talk about what has gone on my personal Splinterlands playing experience, my weekly Guild Brawl Reports, and also any Splinterlands ingame news. 🎉🥳🎊

No week goes by in Splinterlands without some news event happening though. And here's my pick of some of the most interesting ones in my opinion. 📰📰📰

The week started with the end of the previous season and a start of the new one. Both my main and alt accounts managed to finish in the Silver League but the EOS chests were unfortunately disappointing. There were no Legendaries nor Gold Foils to speak about. Not to mention any Chaos packs or large SPS jackpots either. Sigh. 😭 Here's to hoping the next season will be much better.

My quest for more Gold Foil Legendary cards from my rewards chests continues on ("Greed is Good!" 😈). It's a 0.008% chance, at base level, to pull a legendary gold foil, in case you were wondering 😉. Here's to more jackpot strikes in the future (i hope) 🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀.

My main regularly picks up the ✨🏅✨Gold Foil Chaos Legion Only Fray no.12✨🏅✨ while my alt takes up the ✨🏅✨Bronze Chaos Legion Fray no. 7✨🏅✨ every week.

It's yet another week of good performances from myself. Both my main and alt accounts registered a perfect run of wins! I scored 5-0 and 6-0 respectively on them.

PIZZA 2 Guild managed to finish in 2nd place! 🏆🏆🏆

Unfortunately, even though everyone performed extremely well, registering more than a 90% win rate, we still did not manage to finish in 1st. We lost out simply due to not being able to match the sheer numbers of players in other guilds. I'd consider this a win with the limited number of resources we have though. We only had 8 players out of our usual 10 or so.

Great Job from everyone who took part in the Guild Brawls! I'm proud of you all! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

🏆💰🎁Splinterlands News🏆💰🎁

Rebellion is in full swing over here. The Pre-Sale started this week and will be running for an entire month or until all packs available for presale runs out. It doesn't seem like there's going to be a huge rush as compared to the Chaos Legion and Riftwatchers presales though. I think we can take our time and wait to gather more funds or make more considerations before taking the plunge.

Sales have been good, but not the blow out like it was in previous editions. Out of the 500k packs available, almost 270k have been snapped up in jus the space of 3 days. I'd think this would be considered a success in any sense of the word. The true test of how demand for Rebellion goes will come in the days ahead. If it sells out by the end of these 30 days, I think we can expect sales of the packs to be pretty decent throughout it's entire run.

Personally, I am still waiting for a full list of cards and their abilities to be released before I make my decision. The price of Chaos Legion packs have dropped to a ridiculously low price of $0.90 in the secondary markets thanks to people liquidating their assets to buy into Rebellion in expectation of power creep. If it isn't as drastic as what everyone fears, then it could possibly make more sense to snap up all these cheap Chaos packs now to hold or flip in the future.
