In this week's edition of my A Year in Review and a Glimpse Into the Future, I will do something drastically different from my usual battle showcases. Instead of war, I will become a peaceful teacher showing all new players how to most effectively navigate the topic of "A Year in Review and a Glimpse Into the Future". Fortunately, I don't think there are any right or wrong answers when it comes to a topic like this. It is all about nostalgia as we look back upon our activities in the past year, and also about our hopes for the future. With all that being said, here is how I would advice ALL players on how you can capitalize on some of these simple strategies!

  • Strategic Summoner Choices: Selecting summoners that amplify the strengths of my chosen monsters has been a cornerstone of my success. For instance, magic-focused summoners work wonders in battles requiring consistent damage output.

  • Leveraging Rulesets: Understanding and adapting to rulesets such as 'Equalizer' or 'Noxious Fumes' has often given me the upper hand. Adjusting my lineup to either maximize survivability or exploit enemy weaknesses is crucial.

  • Monster Synergy: Crafting teams where abilities complement each other—like pairing tanky frontliners with healers or support units with debuffs—has helped me outmaneuver opponents.

• Takeaway Lessons:

  • Flexibility is key—being willing to adjust tactics mid-season based on evolving metas.

  • Summoner Upgrades: Focus on leveling up existing summoners to unlock more powerful cards.

  • Target: Aim to stake 150,000 SPS by year-end.

  • Strategy: Engage consistently in ranked battles, guild brawls, and tournaments to earn SPS organically, reducing reliance on rentals.

• Prepare for Conclave Arcana Release:

  • Objective: Invest in the upcoming Conclave Arcana set to build a competitive Silver League deck, anticipating its impact on the Modern format.

• Expand Land Holdings:

  • Goal: Acquire at least five different land types to produce diverse resources and gain a 5% bonus in ranked battles, along with the 'Warden' title.
