Before the action begins, the WOO TCG introduces a setup phase designed to level the playing field and build anticipation for the match ahead.

Preparing for Battle

Match Setup

• Search for Match Types and Venues:

  • Each player searches their deck for one Match Type and one Venue card.
  • These are set aside before drawing the opening hand, allowing players to tailor the match to their strategy.

• Draw Opening Hands:

  • Players draw seven cards to start the game. Mulligans are allowed once, letting you reshuffle and draw six cards if you’re not happy with your hand.

• Coin Flip:

  • The winner of the coin flip decides who goes first and whether to activate a Match Type or Venue.

• First Turn Restrictions:

  • To keep things fair, the first player cannot attack, play events, or use manager cards on their initial turn.
