Mental health is very important as we humans, because it controls everything around us, our emotions, how creativity we are and the way we deal with stress. We can say MENTAL HEALTH is as important as PHYSICAL HEALTH.

We find so many people in our society today suffering from all kinds of mental illness or the other because they had poor management of their mental health. We engaged in so much activities that is not beneficial to our mental health and we wonder why we are not doing well. Taking care of your physical health is very important for your well-being, and also your mental health is important for your psychological well-being.

Good mental health is needed for you have and maintain a healthy relationship within the people close to you. You need to be mentally stable and focused for you to achieve your goals and lead a fulfilled life.

Most people have different things that affects their mental health, some are their bad relationships, environments, not able to acheive their goals, past life experiences and those who abuse drugs, there are

One of the major thing that affects my mental health is stress. I engaged in so many papers works in the office and it has not been easy for me. Everyday you have to show up in the office signing documents and writing letters from morning till evening and you barely have time for yourself, this in turn affects your mental health.

I know we have to keep working to meet up on our dreams and goals, we engaged ourselves in lots of stress because of this our ambitions. We still have to do the needful by taking a break away from work and that activities that has been giving us stress even if it is your relationship, engaged in some mental healing and activities that will bring you back to your good health.

Some of the ways I manage my mental health

There are different ways to manage your mental health, and everyone has the one that works for them, why some are yet to discover what actually work for them. I will be listing some of the methods, you can pick the ones that you think might work for you, feel free to add this method to your list.

  1. Passion: Some of us because of some circumstances were not privileged and given the opportunity to pursue their passion, so must of us are doing what we do not enjoy, this increases our mental stress level which is not good for our mental health. If you find yourself in this situation you have to find a way to make out time for your passion also, because this where your creativity lies, and when you are creative, you are also happy, and this in turn boost your mental health. Following your passion is one of the best way to boost your mental health.

  2. Connection: We all have people in our lives that we always want to be around with, it may not be only your family members, it can be your friends. You have to find time outside work to connect with your loved ones close to you, this is a very effective way to boost your mental health.

  3. Meditation: Most people know about this method but few apply it, because we feel it is too good to be true. You just have to try it and see if it works for you. Meditation has been a powerful tool for some great people to boost their mental health, you just have to try it and see how it goes. Meditation gives time to reflect on your life.

  4. Loneliness: Sometimes just being alone and disconnecting yourself from some people around you helps you to renew yourself and rethink on who you truly are and want to become. People around us try to define and shape who we are, but being alone you can remind yourself who you truly want to become.

Happiness: No matter whatever you do, don't play with your happiness. If what you are doing is not giving you peace of mind please avoid it for the sake of your mental health. Avoid people and activities that do not contributes to your happiness and peace of mind.

How interesting that you mention that past life experiences can be a reason for someone to have mental problems! It's definitely something I will reflect upon. I believe in reincarnation, but I had never thought about this issue before.

The part where our goals come into play makes us more fragile and prone to mental health. But that doesn't stop us from pushing forward, despite all things being happy is therapeutic as you said.

We all need people in our lives, the importance of that is not farfetched. We need to learn how to live with others and build relationships that will help us to be able to rely on each other, even if it's just to rant.
And happiness should never be taken for granted, it decides just how we would love our lives and chase our dreams.
