Childhood days are filled with so much fun, and when we remember those days we wished it never ended. The games we played, the movies we watched, the silly things we did and joyful moments, the memories never dies.

My Childhood games

Games during childhood may defer according to region or countries, in my country Nigeria the childhood fun is unmeasurable, especially if you were brought up in the ghetto or rural areas.

I would love to share some of my favorite childhood games we usually play back then.

Cooking fake meals

I remember when I was a kid, after school me and my friends we will come together to prepare meals that is not edible, we just pour water in a container, gather some leaves and grass as ingredients, most of this grasses we don't even know their names, each colour of the grasses is tagged to a particular ingredients or leaves used in preparing an actual meal, then we gather stones with sticks which acts as a firewood, sometimes we go to an extent of putting this sticks fire, but that is if our parents are not around. We will spend so much time in preparing this rubbish we called meal as of then lol. After adding or the leaves we needed to add we just wait for sometime and yes food is ready come and have a taste, instead of using our mouth to taste we use our throat to confirm, put the food on your throat then test, abd that is how we eat the food also and afterwards everything is useless, but that was the fun. I really enjoyed this moment with my childhood friends, sometimes we even use sand hahahaha...

War Start

Those days the war start games was for the boys, but I usually join them, I was known as the Boss lady, wr will divide ourselves into two teams then the battle begins, our battle ground was usually in an uncompleted building, we use sticks and anything that can serve as gun, then we go to our hiding placed, someone will then echo war start, anybody you see first on the other team you shout I shoot you Kpo! And that is it the person is gone and out of the game for that time, we keep on doing this till everyone is killed in the other team, then the other team is declared winners of the battle, as for me I usually go to my hiding place till the when the battle is about to finish then I come out as the only surviving one, sometimes it favours me, sometimes it did not, but it was all fun.

Bread and Butter

Most of us are familiar with this game, but maybe the name of the game differs in your country.

Bread and butter was another game that was fun to play, it usually came with a song that goes like this will you take my bread butter my dear lady , then you will be asked to choose between bread and butter, then if you choose you will be at the bread or butter team then afterwards the drawing of rope will kick starts, sometimes one team is usually has more members, but that does not mean they will be the winner, we cross a line, an each team begins to drag the rope, this done till no one is left in the other team and the winner is declared. Bread and Butter can also be played by adults, it is a game for all, but it was so much fun during childhood.

So friends there are so many games, but this is the ones I enjoyed the most. I would love to know your too let's keep the fun going.
