When death comes.
Greetings brothers and friends,
Today is a day when many people are sad to be the day of the dead.
Death is part of life, people are born, grow, age and die, it is the cycle of life.
Losing a loved one, despite being part of the cycle of life, is something unpleasant, it is a feeling that mixes many emotions and it can even be very difficult to express what it feels like. There is a mixture of emotions, from sadness to emptiness. Many people say they are prepared, others say that as it is part of life, that will not affect them because it is something normal that must occur.
But the reality is, you have to live it to know how you will react to the departure of a loved one.
A few years ago my mother-in-law died, she was relatively young, she was 56 years old. We never thought she would die even though she was sick. A disease that suddenly gave her, she was always a healthy person, never smoked, and was diagnosed with COPD, is a chronic obstructive disease of the lungs.
At first we thought it was something like a simple bronchitis, but then time passed and she got worse, until one day a doctor said that the disease had no cure.
Our faith was always there until the last day, waiting for a miracle from God, but God's decision was to take she.
That fact marked my life. First of all because we always believe that our parents will be with us until we grow old, secondly because she one day felt bad and said we would take her to the doctor and hoping they would give her something to improve and bring her back... She simply did not return.
That day she asked to take her to the doctor, the doctors admitted her in the morning, but then in the afternoon she went to intensive care, there she was tubed and she didn't react anymore... at 21 days she died.
In life we make many plans, and we don't know what awaits us. Only God knows what will happen in our lives, and even until when will we be on this earth
I always admired the strength of my husband and his brothers, they were really very strong at the funeral and then in the following days... I recognize that I am very sentimental and weeping. and I am sure that despite knowing that death is part of life, I would not have had the serenity they had, if it had been my mother.
My husband remained firm and peaceful, refugee in the word of God, and imparted peace to the other relatives, explaining that now his mother was resting.
Revelation 14:13
Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.”
“Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”
and best of all, at the coming of the Lord, the dead in Christ will rise first. This promise of God is what imparts much peace to all those who lose a loved one, it is a word of hope.
1 Thessalonians 4: 13-16
13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
This promise from God must help us to have peace, we must treasure it with a lot of faith in our hearts. In this way all sadness will gradually move away from our life in those moments when death arrives and sometimes there is no explanation.

Death is a gain for those who entrusted their souls to the Lord Jesus Christ. This is what gives us peace when we know for sure that we've been saved through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
