AN OPEN LETTER TO ALL CHRISTIANS IN THESE TIMES
Dear Believer,
There are times when it seems like you were born again. Oh my Jesus! the bliss of being in God's presence. You can feel the ecstasy of the Holy Ghost bursting within you. You feel strength and power all over you even before you begin to pray. A never-ending discourse that results in wonderful concentration is how reading the Bible feels. Jesus' tender voice then fills your heart.
The word time at church is like heaven on earth when you rush there with zeal.
However, there are other days when it feels as though the gates of hell have opened only for you. You feel sterile and bare. You are unable to touch it.
When you wake up to pray, your body feels as if you just sold five bundles of firewood. The Bible is boring to study. You are very susceptible to sin. Mehn! These times!
Your life will therefore seem to consist of nothing more than activity – a form of godliness without the power.
I understand them as well. You didn't lose your fire, though, I can assure you of that! No.
You were indeed attacked. Because a real attack would be on your devotional and Bible study time. Yes, you dropped your guard. It's possible that everything you believe happened did. However, the Holy Spirit remained. You might have, but God was always present.
Although you were feeble, God's might was perfect and present yet. How am I aware? When you visit a church or a group of believers, you can feel it; something inside of you is stirred. God is continually calling you up. You occasionally feel beckonings, but those devil's tools appeared to be flourishing. However, God meant it when He said that NO WEAPON devised or fashioned against you shall prosper.
So get up, brothers! Put on all of God's armor. Take up the shield of faith to ward off the devil's attacks on your heart. Activate the Holy Spirit's gift within you! Again, push. Again, pray.
Unlike you, God is more concerned about your revival. There is still time to catch up on your Bible study, even if you are behind. then start digging!
This is a challenging moment to be a Christian. However, nothing new is happening right now. There are numerous distractions. There are many things vying for your attention. But you must keep your focus on Jesus' cross.
Yes, we would be financially successful and lead pleasant lives, but there is a crown and glory to be won. We must never forget that this world is a marketplace where, after shopping, selling, casting our votes, etc., we all return HOME.
Never lose sight of the fact that this is not merely a race we must finish. I'm fighting with you. It is a struggle. a conflict between the spirit and the flesh. a conflict between the kingdom of our God and the world's institutions. But in order to prevail, we must battle. Instead of pounding the air, use strategy. Arming ourselves with the special tools that God has given us so that we can destroy strongholds.
Keep in mind that you are not doing this alone. A large number of witnesses are standing around you, encouraging you. You're not supposed to do this by yourself because this race is not a contest. Don't be solitary. Rejoin a group. One will pursue a thousand, and two will scatter ten thousand. Get a sibling who will support you and hold you accountable.
Never feel bad about the insults somebody might use against you. Evil things would be said by people. They would refer to you by various titles that could be hurtful or ego-deflating.
But keep in mind that the world cannot adore you because it lacks the ability to do so. Show the world what makes you unique by demonstrating the LOVE that lives inside of you. LOVE. This demonstrates that you are a sincere disciple. Love even when it's difficult. When it seems silly, love. Simply love yourself and love others.
Remind your past of your most certain future when it comes after you.
Last but not least, share Jesus with others whenever you can. Heaven is always joyful, but when you bring a soul into the kingdom, heaven becomes much MORE joyous. This happiness spills to you as well; it does not stop in paradise. as a result of your magnificent locations. Hallelujah.
And now to him who can keep you on your feet, standing tall in his bright presence, fresh and celebrating—to our one God, our only Saviour, through Jesus Christ, our Master, be glory, majesty, strength, and rule before all time, and now, and to the end of all time. Yes.
