What Does AI Currently Offer Us
AI has been around for a while now. When we look back at it it's only been around two years since ChatGPT came out a long with other pictures and video AI formats being released.
Since then these AI models have been getting better which is often shown in this Will Smith video eating spaghetti.
At the moment there are three of the biggest options for AI that are going to head to head and those are. ChatGPT, Gemini and the newest edition LLaMA. Let's take a look at each and see what's been happening and what we can most likely expect in the near future.
ChatGPT
ChatGPT is owned by OpenAI and Microsoft. It's primarily focused on text based chat and the coding behind it allows for it to talk back to the person in a human like feeling.
This format has allowed it to be a helpful tool not only for articles, emails, song lyrics, outlines and the likes but it's also helpful in terms of getting steps for projects quickly etc. However like with any AI it has it's flaws at the moment in some information not being correct or what are known as hallucinations.
What this data does is pulls from a vast amount of data scrapped off of the web and then spits it back out in a well formatted easy to read style for the user. However there's were it has it's biggest flaw. The AI simply is pulling data that other people have written be it true or not.
The AI is also not connected to the internet and only pulls data on which the company has decided is ok. This causes outdated information and is also trained not to answer anything controversial. Think of them as "safeguards" but which the company owns and controls which can be a powerful tool in itself.
ChatGPT has also had a recent update in which it can take audio, image and video inputs but only provide text responses. So for a rough example you could submit in a podcast or a youtube video and have it summarize it for you. This feature currently are writing however is on the paid only plan.
Gemini
Gemini much like the paid version of ChatGPT can take text, audio and video inputs and can also spit out limited version of these back instead of just fully text based versions. However there are still great limitations to this. Gemini is created by Google and in particular one of the founders Sergey Brin.
Gemini is also not connected to the internet it is instead connected to the Gemini protocol which is connected to the internet. This allows Gemini to provide more real time data and not outdated data by allowing it to pull fresh information from the internet.
LLaMA
Meta Llama is created and downed by none other than Facebook aka now called Meta. This AI has just recently had a update that went live that people are saying it's all over now. While I don't feel like that's the case as AI will always continue to advance it is for sure does offer some new unique features that separate it much like the separation from Gemini and ChatGPT. LlaMa stands for (Large Language Model Meta AI)
While Llama does provide a much more human like feel to its interaction where it currently excels is in writing code. It has about the same amount of data as ChatGPT to work with putting it at a disadvantage to the likes of Gemini.
Apps
So what apps and things can you do with this AI currently?
Primarily ChatGPT is showing us its work capabilities. It's replacing or help with jobs in terms of text based write ups thing, articles, emails or chat bots to help customers.
Gemini however has much larger data sets and also can generate images for free. The biggest plus with Gemini is being able to extract more data and do it on the fly giving you up to date information. So if your workload needs up to date data such as the stock market, world news etc then Gemini is going to be your go to.
Now on the flip side of that the negative is it is pulling data from the web live which means it's filled with hate, bias opinions, negative sentiments etc. and has fired back a lot of weird things that make people question it.
Now for Llama it's mainly used for writing code is where it currently excels so if you have code you need written or checked then this could be your go to AI right now.

Wow, two years already? That's hard to believe. It seems like it was just the other day that it was hitting the mainstream!
Right, I feel like people were saying AI should be taking over and killing us by now 😂 instead it's still just a big algo to deliver info more quickly.
Haha, very true!
!1UP Good work!

Indeed AI has changed the way things are, it has aided all lines of work especially ours, editing and proofreading articles got a lot easier with AI involved. I currently use Meta for most of my research and it's a good way to build heuristic, I don't believe everything will be traced down to the source to know exactly, I think weigh it on probability is safer. Thanks for sharing.
