Verge, Web3, Crypto and AI

This last year has been abuzz with lots of big headliner words like Web3, Crypto and AI however where are we on most of these innovations, what's to come and how we can use that information to better ourselves.

Ethereum Verge

Ethereum has been on a wild ride this year with POS, slowing down of the usage of the blockchain and more for a while there many felt like the good old days of Ethereum were over. However only recently the price has surged showing much renewed focus in this area.

Ethereum is due for another upgrade and this time it's going to be one called Verge. What's in Verge upgrade you might ask?

The biggest marketing ploy at the moment for Ethereum is that people would be able to make Ethereum more secure and accessible allowing people to run nodes on devices such as a phone or smartwatch.

It's core focus is to reduce hardware requirements by using what is known as stateless verification which allows nodes to run without large amounts of data.

You see people at one time wanted a full running ledger from years ago to today. The issue is a node would have to compile all of that data and run it on it's own hardware just like every other node. But it begs the question if that much data needs to be run on EVER node or if you could instead have core nodes and then lighter nodes that only held say a months worth of data or less.

Verge will also work on gas known as multidimensional gas. You see not every transaction eats up a lot of data on the blockchain but some do and are required to for security etc. These larger resource hogs would have a higher transaction fee but say you where simply moving funds from one wallet to another the data for it would be very low which in this case would cost you far less in gas fees.

The other idea is to make staking open to more people. More people staking and contributing to the security of the blockchain in a proof of stake system the better. Just like with proof of work mining the more miners online across many people the better (Minus pools which centralize things)

Web3, Crypto and AI

These things seem to go hand in hand anymore these days. Web3 has been talked about for a long time now but I believe most have realized they need to start at something like the web 2.5 before any real substantial web3 is made. I'm not entirely sold on a fully decentralized social media platform ever working though to be honest.

The grand vision of this all is that AI would act as agents doing those so called "busy tasks" like scheduling appointments, booking air flights, buying and selling crypto and so forth. While personally I still feel like that is far away and I'm not so sure I would want AI doing all of those things on it's own I'd like to have input on pretty much each one of those it is still a future many are pushing towards.

Some areas I could see AI coming in handy however would be things like using crypto to avoid high fees and find paths of trading those funds or moving them that are cost effective and in some cases might arbitrage you profits. AI also will most likely be one of the things that could be decentralized. However is AI really decentralized if it controls itself? or is it in fact centralized to the AI's "brain" now.

The part of crypto and AI for me seems to stem around issuing GPU time and being rewarded for it. I'm currently running a few GPUs myself for such AI style projects and so far the pay has been rather good on those compared to trying to mine bitcoin or other core cryptocurrency assets.

If there was one sector I think is really worth time and effort would be
