Splitnerlands One Final Day Left

It's crazy to think about it that it's been a year already since the airdrop started over at Splinterlands Now with just a single air drop left many are speculating on a number of factors as to what will happen next. In this post I'm going to cover my own thoughts and include some of the most recent updates we have from the team about features coming to Splitnerlands.

The Reduction and The Offset

With the airdrop coming to a end a total of 400,000,000 SPS tokens would have been dropped to players. A total of 13.33% of the supply. This was a total over nearly 1.1 million SPS hitting liquidity every day for players a sheer massive amount of SPS of the total that will be printed. That's not all though the Private sale is all sent out another 200,000,000 and some others. This now brings us at a total supply out of 856,000,000 of the total 3,000,000,000 to be made which is nearly 1/3th the total supply. This supply is set to last around 5 years total and be reduced each month by 1%.

When we take a look at where other SPS will be coming from we see that the following will be going out each month.
Ranked Battles - 7.5 million
SPS staking Rewards - 7.5 Million (is now reduced as it has been going on for about 11 months now.
LP Incentives - 7.5 million This is coming tomorrow further details below
Land Expansion - 6.25 million It's going to be some time before we see action on this one
SPS Validator Node Rewards - 3.75 million Has started to pay out some
Tournament Prizes - 2.5 million Has been paying out but unsure on amount
Guild Brawls - 2.5 million Coming soon

When we combine all of the above we get a total of 37.5 million in comparison to the 33.33 million that was being airdropped daily.

However you need to remove some which are not active or announced to be active any time soon which would be your Land Expansion of 6.25 million and Guild Brawls of 2.5 million a total reduction of 8.75 million brining that number down to 28.75 million. Also factor in that tournaments have been running, SPS staking rewards have been running and SPS validator nodes and you have a even smaller supply (speculative guess would be 27 million printing each month compared to 33.33 million from the airdrop.

This means (about again this is not fully researched and I didn't pull exact numbers) that we will see a reduction of 4.58 million SPS daily hitting liquidity. That might not sound like a lot but it's a sizeable reduction that will continue to reduce by 1% each month. 1% again doesn't sound like a lot but when you take 28.75 million and reduce it by 1% you get a further reduction in supply of 287,500 for the next month coming.

So yes, there is still lots of SPS to grab up however it's going to now take activity to get it or investment. That means battles, guilds, leveling up your decks to reach higher for better SPS rewards, more locked up vouchers, sps and dec through liquidity pools and more! There's going to be a crunch of supply but more liquidity than ever through staking rewards for liquidity providers.

Per Splinterlands announcement 51.1 million SPS is being minted each month. The airdrop will stop 33.33 million of that tomorrow a over 50% reduction. Even if everything kicked on the supply would be less than it currently is daily so expect a reduction come tomorrow of anywhere from 20%-50% of the supply granted how fast other features get launched.

Once the above new reward pools go live, that will bring the total SPS minted per month to 37,187,500, which is approximately 27% less than the current rate.

My Plans

For myself I've been stacking DEC, SPS and as of late Vouchers. My plans are to take a look at the liquidity pools tomorrow and lock some in. However the DEC I might hold on to and buy another 575 packs at least which means using 75 vouchers. My goal is/was 2,400 with 400 vouchers but it looks like I'll be missing that one sadly.

These packs will for sure max my deck out and with that I'll rent out or possibly sell some of the extras (mainly rent as I want to be prepared for lands launch as I have 142 plots I will need to attend to.)

Overall we are in for one wild ride again. Would could possibly see Chaos packs sell out in a few days due to people dumping their extra DEC or we could see liquidity pools stuffed with DEC to try and get more of that SPS! Overall I think we will see a lot of action and a good amount of price action as people start moving things around.
