Crypto Ownership The Deeper Picture

The other day I wrote about crypto adoption in a article titled Is Crypto Being Adopted More? but this article was missing some key data in terms of a rough estimated amount of people from each country actully held crypto.

This latest info graphic pulls in some data which shows us the percent of people have own crypto but what that percent actully means. For example the United Arab Emirates might have 30% adoption rate of people owning crypto but it only accounts for 3 million people. While places like Ukraine might be only 10% but is equal to 4 million people owning it.

Overall from this chart we can see that a large portion of the USA population not only owns crypto but it nearly accounts for every other country on this list showing that the U.S Actually holds a domination amount of crypto and the people involved with crypto.

It's also important to note that this data accounts for 2023 only and not 2024. Other countries might be higher as well but being that the USA requires you to disclose your ownership of these assets the reporting is a bit better.

We can also see why the Biden administration has been hitting it hard in terms of trying to stop crypto adoption being that most countries that are anti U.S are on this list such as UAE, Vietnam, Iran and a few kind of on the fence.

As a side note it still makes me laugh to this day that countries can't get along with each other and still go to war. Make no mistake about it we are in world war three but this world war is a proxy war over what WW1 and WW2 looked like. War changes and I firmly believe we are in WW3 which is primarily fought via proxy wars and those higher countries taking the resources out of those countries. It's pretty wild when you dig into it all but that could be an article for another day.

Now the only other data missing here and which I don't think we will ever get a real clear answer to is the amount of capital of crypto each countries population holds. While it should be transparent enough to pull that data it's only going to be able to be pull if people really write into their government to disclose all of it and honestly I don't think that would ever be the case.

Crypto Adoption

With crypto adoption going full scale and with massive ETF adoption happening which hasn't even been accounted into these figures as of yet it's pretty clear that the US if they went pro crypto could in fact become a dominating factor in the crypto space.

The only negative would be I for sure know other countries that want to suck resources and wealth out of others will come up with junk coin and tokens in order try and gain wealth themselves. We have also seen this with constant hacking attempts but also it's important to note these hacking attempts don't just happen on the crypto space they also happen on the Fiat and credit system more so than crypto.

Pretty interesting to see how crypto ownership varies across countries, especially with the US leading. I wonder how future data will shape these trends though
