I made a small hand bag for myself last week that I took to church, it was so cute notwithstanding that I used fabric to make my bag, I model my bag and I was proud of what I made for myself, it looks so good that people admired it and I felt cool with it but unfortunately, I didn't take any picture of it. When my friend saw the bag with me, she asked where I got it from but she was shocked when I told her I made it myself, she laughed and said she only knows me as a seamstress that she never knew I could also make cute bag with fabric as well, I told her anything is possible if only one is determined to achieve it, she smiled as said I will definitely make one for her as well, I told her not to worry, it will be made and delivered to her before Sunday.

Today, I decided to make the bag and get it ready before the day I promised, I thought of making another design different from the one I made for myself.

Let's me take you through the cutting and sewing process.

For the main bag, I cut out a rectangular shape of 22 x 15" on both the main fabric and lining

For the handle, I cut out 12 x 4" from the fabric

It was folded to the middle then folded in two while I sew on the two sides.

I took the main fabric I cut out and measured 3" from the side and sew the handle on it on both sides.

The lining was placed on it and I sew on the sides where I sew the handle, then it was turned inside out and I sew on it round.

I measured 6" inward from the side on the tip and it was ruled down just as seen below on both sides.

I folded it in and sew on the lines I marked on the four sides.

I folded the four sides as seen below and I sew on it on the folded side close to the handle.

It was folded in two on the right side as I sew the sides together.

One of the tip was folded and sew in inorder for the other one to lap over it.

The bag was turned inside out and I sew in 0.5" on both sides to cover the rough edges.

To make it have a seated base, I folded the base in a triangle form with the seam line in the middle and I measured 2" and sew on it.

Finally it was turned inside out and I sew in a pressing buttons on the tip to enable it cover.

This is the final outcome of the cute hand bag I made for my friend, I hope she will like it.
