End of the year is usually a time for different occasions and celebration, some choose celebrate a life well spent by their late grandparents, some choose to get married and so on, for all these celebrations, we usually choose a specific fabric as a uniform for the general public, family and friends just to honor the occasion, one of it is this Ankara fabric, it it the fabric that was sold to the general public to honor the wedding of one of our neighbor and this is for grandma, she asked me to make her outfit and of course, I know grandma will only prefer a simple gown like this.

This is the cutting and sewing process of this simple gown outfit.

From the 4yards Ankara fabric, I folded it in 2 using the hip circumference measurement divide by 4 plus 2" for ease and seam allowance

For the front neckline, I measured 4 x 5" while for the back, I measured 4 x 2", then I measured the shoulder, bust, waist, hip and full length measurement after which it was cut out.

I cut out a long piece of a matching color satin of 4" and it was folded on both sides and I top stitched on it on the front bodice of the gown
