Hello everyone

It's another beautiful day here @diyhub, I'm glad to be sharing my creativity and recent design here with you on how I made this simple and beautiful gown for my neighbor's daughter.

I hope you all are doing great today, it's been awhile since I have been making outfit for Mrs Francis my neighbor and this time, she needed something simple and beautiful, though without specifications but at the end, I was able to make this beautiful and lovely outfit for her for their family Thanksgiving service in church.

The remaining fabric from the one I used to make Mrs Francis outfit was much as she bought 6yards of Ankara fabric, so after making hers, the remaining fabric was used to make almost same style for her little daughter faith.

The making of this gown is so simple as I made it same way I made for the mother but just with a little difference, for the mother, I made a princess dart bustier with half cut before cutting out the shape from the waist line to the knee line where the flare will start from while for the child, I made a straight gown from the shoulder line down to where the flare will start from before adding the flare.

First, I cut out the front part with the neckline, armhole, waist and hip measurement, after which the front was placed on another folded fabric to cut out the back with zipper allowance

The front and back were sewn together neatly with matching colour lining to turn it inside out.

I finally made the 3 steps flare to the hem of the gown to get the full length measurement. To cut the flare, I measured the round hem of the gown and divided it by 6.28 plus the desired length with 2" difference to get the other flare.

Each of the flare were turned inside out with lining after cutting out same shape before being sewn to the hem of the gown

To make a complete outfit, I cut out a cone sleeve using organza material with the armhole circumference measurement which was pleated on a small band and sewn to the armhole circumference of the gown.

This is the complete outfit for faith, my neighbor's daughter and I'm sure you like the final outcome of the dress, this can also be made for an adult, as simple as this.

Thanks for your time, support, comment and encouragement, do have a great day until my next post.💖💖💖
