Happy Sunday you all on this beautiful Sunday, you are all doing well just as I am here.

Today, I will be sharing with you the making of this beautiful flare gown with flare sleeve and a double bow I made fory little friend faith.

Faith is my little friend in the neighborhood, her mother happens to be my client for sometimes now, I made most of her outfits for her, just recently, faith was gifted this 5yatds of fabric by one of her uncle and her mother decided to make an outfit for her daughter with it.

As a little child, they tend to outgrown most outfit made for them easily as they grow almost everyday, before the making of this outfit, Faith's mother complained on how most of the short outfit I made for her daughter becomes shorter quickly, most of them were abandoned because they were no longer her size. For this reason, I suggested that if that should be the case, I will always make a long outfit for her daughter and by the time she outgrown the outfit as she said, then it would have become a short gown and she can easily rock it as a short gown as well, Mrs Adeyemi (Faith's mother) agreed with my suggestion and I started making a long outfit for faith.

Thinking of what to make, I searched through Pinterest to pick a particular style, sometimes, when a see a particular style that i love, I might decide to make the exact outfit or try to change one or two things from the style, either the sleeves, the neckline or any part I don't like just to make my own design and creativity. When searching for children gown outfit, I came across this beautiful flare gown with this sleeves and bow in front, I feel in love with the simplicity of the gown and I made up my mind to make the same style for my little friend, at most times, I usually pick styles for my clients and they have trusted me that whatever I make will be good for them so, I make sure I sew something nice and beautiful for them at all time, thank God for the app that helped me out most of the time.

Let's get to the cutting and sewing process.

To make this outfit, I cut out a 360° flare for the lower part of the gown but I cut it out twice by 180° each just to minimize the fabric and also the fabric wouldn't have been enough if folded directly.

From the remaining fabric, I cut out the upper bodice using the bodice measurement I have with me to cut the front and back which was drafted out on a brown paper with basic bodice pattern.

The upper bodice were sewn together with lining to turn inside out for neat finishing. Below is the front and back view with zipper allowance at the back.

I proceeded to the cutting out of the flare sleeve using 360° to cut a 4 pieces, the same fabric will also serve as the lining.

For the lower part, I cut out lining to the flare as well and it was sewn together with the zipper allowance at the back.

The upper and lower bodice were sewn together having same waist circumference.

The sleeves were sewn together with crinoline at the tip to make the sleeves stand and was sewn to the armhole circumference of the gown.

Finally, I made a belt and bow with matching colour satin and the main fabric to add more beauty to the outfit.

This is the final and beautiful outcome of the dress I made for my little friend faith, I hope you like it just as my friend did.
