Dress code for a wedding, white skirt and blouse wedding outfit for my friend
Hello beautiful people
It's a beautiful day, greetings to you all out there, I believe you are doing so great just as I am here.
Last week was a very busy week for me as I got myself stuck with different types of weeding outfit, I help people to make their outfit for different weeding that I had to make mine the last outfit to make, I have shared some of the outfit in my blog before now but I must tell you, I have a lot of work still waiting for me, that this what you are into when you are the only fashion designer in the family where there are lots of ladies, the good thing is that, I love and enjoy what I'm doing, so sit back as I unfold the different outfits I made for my family members as we all have someone to celebrate with this season in the family.
I will be sharing with you today the making of this beautiful asymmetric flare blouse with a double sleeve and straight skirt for my friend.
My friend needed to attend a wedding in their family and for the wedding, there is a particular dress code for the family members, they are all to be on white outfit, well, this is not new, most families will be on a particular color so as to differentiate between the family members and other guest, but unfortunately for my friend, she doesn't have the particular color for the wedding and it won't speak well of her if she decided to put on something else apart from the selected color.
Boluwatife my friend had to contact me and asked for a possible means to attend the wedding with the color code on low cost, with the little amount of money with her budgeted for her outfit, I went to the market, bought an average floral lace fabric for $1.5 per trouser which is by 45" I got 3 trouser and started work immediately.
First, I cut out the straight skirt and sew it with just fabric, I got a satin to make a camisole for the outfit,so there's no need for me to line the outfit separately.
After which I proceeded to the cutting of the blouse, to cut the blouse, first I cut out the yoke of about 8" which was drafted on a brown paper before being duplicated on the fabric to make a stylish neckline.
For the flare blouse, I folded the remaining fabric in a triangle form to cut out the chest line to the full length measurement of the blouse using the bodice measurement.
The yoke for the front and back were sewn to the flare and I have this.
After Sewing the bodice together, I cut out a two in one sleeve of a basic and pleated sleeve to the blouse.
The sleeves were sewn to the armhole circumference with the zipper at the back and I have a complete outfit for my friend.
This outfit was achieved with the total cost of $6.
No charges for sewing. This is my own contribution to her for the wedding.
My friend was so happy when the dress was delivered to her, I hope you like the beautiful outcome.
The fabric looking amazing
You really try on it best of luck.
