DIY// Useful fabric organizer for home use made from left over fabric for a friend
Hello everyone
Greetings to you all from this part of the world, I hope you are all doing great, I really had a great time with my friend who came visiting briefly after the church service and I was so happy to have her around. It's with great pleasure for me today to share with you this fabric organizer for home use I recently made for left over pieces of fabric for my friend, when my friend came to my place, she saw one of my projects which I did sometimes ago and demand one for herself.
As you know, I like to be creative in what I do, so I decided to make this in a different shape, now it's left for her to choose whichever she likes, though this is actually the one I made for her but she might really prefer the one I made for myself earlier. This is so good and very useful for organizing some items in the house, the good thing is that it can be hanged on the wall in the room and also serves as a wall hanging decor because when hanged on the wall with those items in it, it add more beauty to the room so as you can see, it's a 2 in 1 project 😃
Let's get started with the cutting and sewing process.
As you can see from the final outcome, I used pieces of different fabrics to achieve this project, starting with, I drew out a love shape on my folded interfacing after folding in two by 5"
It was placed on the main fabric as I cut out same shape of 2 pieces.
To make the space for the items, I measured 4" down from the top of the love shape and cut out 2 pieces of the down part on another fabric with 1" difference from the other.
It was placed right side to right side and sewn at the top.
It was turned to the right side and sewn on both sides with the excess showing at the top to make a beautiful design.
Another pieces were cut out from 2 different fabric as well with 1.5" difference from the initial pieces but with same process.
It was sewn together with the excess showing at the top as well for the second pocket space.
I sew the interfacing on the main fabric on the wrong side, then on the right side, I placed the biggest pocket space I made and sew it on it on both sides.
Then the other one was also sewn on it to make the second pocket space.
I went on to sew a straight line on the middle line to creat 4 pocket space.
The other piece of the love shape was then place on the main work as I sew on it right side to right side leaving an opening by the side to be turned inside out.
I made a small handle from 6 x 2" pieces of fabric was was folded and sewn, it was placed on the center of the main fabric and sewn together, before it was turned inside out and top stitched on the opening.
This is the final and beautiful outcome with some of my cosmetic in it.
Talent and good taste, that's what can be perceived in your post my friend. Thank you for being so diverse in your creations, we always look forward to what you will surprise us with next, and you manage to cause excitement and admiration. Happy to have you on DIYHub.
