DIY// tutorial on how I made a cell phone charging holder for my friend
Hello beautiful people
Greetings to you all from this part of the world, I hope you are all doing great, for me, I am just doing fine having a great time all by myself.
It is my pleasure to share with you today a phone charging holder I made for my friend who insisted that I make one for him immediately he saw the one I made for myself but before I proceed to that, I will like to appreciate you all for taking out your time to read through my post, for your comment, support and encouragement, all these has really kept me going, to the lovely community @Hive diy, I say thank you.
I was in need of a cellphone charging holder, so I decided to make one for myself from some pieces of fabric, as I mentioned before, I have a lot of them, the outcome was really nice and useful to me, I was happy with what I made, fortunately for my friend, he saw it and insisted I should make one for him that he will sure need it for his phone as well, I knew if I had declined, he will take the one I made for myself, so I promised I was going to make another one for him, it means I have to get it done as soon as possible.
Cutting and sewing process.
Before I get started, I thought of making another shape a little bit different from the one I made for myself, i already have my pieces of fabric which I picked from my bag where I kept them, I selected 3 types but at the end, I used only 2 from the selected 3.
To start with, I measured 11 x 5" on fold for the base, it was cut out and I have 2 pieces, the two were folded in 2 vertically as I measured 3" downward from which I curved it to the top to have my desired shape.
One of the pieces was used to cut out the hard stary for it to be firm.
The three were taken to the sewing machine while I placed the hard stary on one of the pieces and the other pieces was placed on the hard stary, they were sewn together.
It was folded in 2 vertically as I measured 1" downward from the the top, from the 1" where I marked, I measured 2" downward and 2" inward, it was connected in form of a circle and I cut it out for the charger head.
On another pieces of fabric, I measured 6 x 5" in two places while the same was repeated on the hard stary.
Placing the 3 together, it was sewn on my sewing machine.
I brought out my bias strip as a sew it on the edge of the small shape.
I took the small one and placed it on the big on and sew it together.
I wanted it to be different from mine, so I sew the same bias strip round the opening as well as the edges.
This is the final outcome and it's ready for use, I hope my friend will like it and if he so desires to go with the one I made for myself, I will gladly give it to him.
Oh wow, you made another phone holder, you really are the queen of phone holders, haha. Nice work
