Design of a double color matching fabric pouch for Grandma's outfit from scraps
Hello beautiful people
Greetings to you all on this beautiful day in this great community, I hope you are having a great time at your respective places, it is my pleasure today to bring to you the making of the design of a matching fabric pouch I made for my mother in-law for the scrap of her fabric.
Sometimes ago, I make an outfit for my mother in-law which was a skirt and blouse, after making the outfit, I had some left over pieces from which I decided to make a tote bag, it was so beautiful and grandma loves it so much.
After making this tote bag, I still have some scraps left and I thought of a way to put it into good use as I always love to make use of my fabric to the last piece, so I decided to make this beautiful pouch from the scraps, this will be useful fro her phone and cash before putting it in the tote bag I made.
Let me take you through the cutting and sewing process.
I made use of two different pieces of matching color fabric from the main Ankara fabric, I cut out 2 pieces of 6 x 6"
From the other fabric, I cut out 2 pieces of 6 x 4"
I cut and ironed interfacing on both pieces and sew it together.
It was top stitched on and placed it on my lining to cut out same shape
I placed a zipper on the main fabric and sew it with the lining on both sides and top stitched on
I placed the fabric to fabric and lining to lining, with the zipper opened to the middle, I folded in 1" on both lining and fabric then I sew on both sides leaving an opening on the lining.
It was turned inside out through the opening on the lining and I top stitched on the opening. This is the final outcome and I hope you like it.
Now grandma has additional pouch to her outfit with a matching color fabric.
The final outcome is great. It is stylish and lovely. You're really good at it. Thank you for sharing this. Keep it up!
Thanks so much for always supporting my blog and for your comment.
