Greetings to all the lovers of creativity, I hope you are all doing great, I am here today very busy with my sewing machine as I always do, yesterday was a rainy and I made use of the opportunity to to create a simple card wallet for my niece, today being Saturday, I have decided to do my laundry before I could know what was happening outside, it is another down pour of rain, I had to put my laundry on hold hoping the rain will stop soon. Thinking of what to do while waiting, I remembered I promised a friend of mine that I will be coming to pay her a visit, she's also a seamstress, so I thought of what to give to her and this scissors keeper came to my mind, it's just a perfect gift crafted by hand and I'm sure she will like and appreciate it.

This is a simple, easy and useful project, it's for safe keeping/ organizing our scissors, if you have more than one scissors, this will be so useful for you, it also has a small handle where you can hang it for easy access.

Cutting and sewing process of this scissors keeper/ organizer.

Using two pieces of different fabrics, I cut out 12½ x 9" and interfacing as well

The interfacing was ironed on one of the fabric, for me, the blue fabric was thicker so I ironed the interfacing on the yellow piece.

Placing the two together, right side to right side, I made a curve at one edge just as seen below.

For the handle, I cut out 2 x 6" and sew it on fold.

It was placed on the right side of the fabric and I sew round, leaving an opening by the side to be turned inside out.

It was turned inside out and neatly ironed.

It was top stitched round leaving the down part.

To make the fold, this is the process, first I took one side of the right side, folded it to the left and sew on it as seen below.

To make the second space, I took the left side and folded it to the right and back again to make the third space for the scissors and I sew on it like a V-shape.

Finally, the scissors keeper is ready, as simple as that with it's handle for hanging.

I believe my friend will like and appreciate this little hand made gift I made for her.

I hope you like the outcome of my scissors keeper/ organizer.

Thanks so much for your time, support, comment and encouragement. Until my next post.

A scissors keeper? That’s one nice gift, dearest Bimpcy, and no doubt your friend would appreciate it. The fact that you thought about going to your friend’s house with a gift alone shows how much of a wonderful person you are and you aren’t going with just any gift but a thoughtful gift at that, that’s really something and we applaud you for that. Well done and thanks for sharing.
