A quick design of a simple flare skirt for AYOMIDE
Hello beautiful people
Greetings to you all today in this great community, I hope you are all doing well just as I am doing today, it's is with great pleasure that I bring to you today the making of this simple 360° flare skirt with waist band for my little sister in the neighborhood (AYOMIDE).
There is a program to be held in church on Sunday, it's an harvest thanksgiving service, it is usually celebrated I November before the beginning of Christmas carol and celebration, this is to thank God for a bountiful harvest of the season and for all God's gift for the year, for this celebration, my neighbourhood mummy contacted me that she would like me to make a simple skirt for her daughter that will not cost hr much, on my part, I was thinking of a straight short skirt but she made her desired known as she told me she would prefer a flare skirt, well since she's a little girl, that wouldn't be a problem.
I proceeded to the cutting and sewing process with this material she brought.
Let me take you through the simple process of making this skirt with just few steps.
I folded the material in four to cut the flare skirt with her body measurement. I measured from the closed end on the folded part her waist measurement divided by 4 plus zipper allowance and the full length measurement which was cut out.
For the waist, I measured the waist circumference on a long piece by 2" on fold and cut it out.
It was taken to the sewing machine and I sew the waist band on the skirt waistline round.
Finally, the zipper was sewn to the 1" zipper allowance at the back and it was hem round by folding the hem by 0.5" and sewn round.
This is the final outcome and the skirt is looking nice already, I'm sure my little friend AYOMIDE will like this, she can wear this with her desired top of any color.
I love this skirt because it is simple, easy and quick to make, it is comfortable to wear as well.
You did such amazing job as the skirt looks great
Thanks
