Ataturk City Forest 🌲 / Atatürk Kent Ormanı 🌲

Hello, everyone. How are you doing? I hope you are in good spirits. I went to university in Rize, in the Black Sea region, so I love nature, every shade of green. Unfortunately, I couldn't go there after graduation, even though I wanted to. Recently, I went to a beautiful place in Istanbul that will not look like the Black Sea. "Atatürk City Forest"
It's a bit far from my house, so I left early in the morning. It took me about an hour using two metro lines. Although it seems like a long time, it's a close distance for Istanbul. 😅

Herkese merhaba. Nasılsınız? Umarım keyifler yerindedir. Üniversiteyi Karadeniz bölgesinde, Rize'de okudum. Dolayısıyla doğayı, yeşilin her tonunu severim. Mezun olduktan sonra çok istesem de maalesef gidemedim. Geçtiğimiz günlerde İstanbul'da Karadeniz'i aratmayacak güzel bir yere gittim. "Atatürk Kent Ormanı"
Evime biraz uzak olduğu için erken saatlerde çıktım. İki metro hattı kullanarak yaklaşık bir saatte ulaştım. Her ne kadar uzun bir süre görünse de İstanbul için yakın mesafe sayılır. 😅

Since the forest area is very large, I created a route for myself using the map at the entrance. It is tiring to visit such big places randomly and it can also cause you to miss some of the must-see places. That's why I highly recommend creating a route.
There is no charge to visit the inner part of the forest. Unfortunately, even though it is free, I cannot say that it attracts a lot of attention. Maybe it was not flooded with visitors that day.
There is a wooden bridge near the entrance of the forest. I used this bridge to cross the forest.

Ormanın bulunduğu bölge çok geniş olduğu için girişteki harita üzerinden kendime bir rota oluşturdum. Böyle büyük yerleri gelişi güzel gezmek insanı yoruyor ayrıca bazı görülmesi gereken yerlerin gözden kaçmasına sebebiyet verebiliyor. Bu yüzden rota oluşturmanızı kesinlikle tavsiye ederim.
Ormanın iç kısmını gezmek için herhangi bir ücret verilmiyor. Ne yazık ki ücretsiz olmasına rağmen çok fazla ilgi gördüğünü söyleyemem. Belki de o gün ziyaretçi akınına uğramamıştır.
Ormanın girişine yakın bir yerde tahta köprü bulunuyor. Bu köprüyü kullanarak karşıya geçtim.

Tall, thin trees accompanied me as I crossed over the bridge. Also, the structure of the bridge was quite suitable for the atmosphere of the forest. After crossing the bridge, I came across a large, green area, resembling an amphitheater in appearance. I couldn't help but think what a good match would be played here 😅
When I was little, we used to play a lot of matches in places that resembled this place and it would be fun.

Köprünün üzerinden geçerken ince uzun boylu ağaçlar bana eşlik ediyordu. Ayrıca köprünün yapısı ormanın havasına oldukça uygundu. Köprüyü geçtikten sonra geniş, yeşillik bir alanla karşılaştım. Görünümü itibariyle amfiyi andırıyordu. İçimden burda ne güzel maç yapılır düşüncesi gelmedi değil. 😅
Küçükken burayı andıran yerlerde çok maç yapardık ve keyifli olurdu.

After leaving the lecture hall, I moved towards the part where there were ponds on the dirt road in the forest. As I walked, I was fascinated by the bird sounds and the scenery in the forest. The last time I visited such beautiful places was in Rize. I took photos from different angles during the walk.

Amfinin yanından ayrıldıktan sonra ormanın içindeki toprak yoldan göletlerin olduğu kısma doğru hareket ettim. Yürüyüşle birlikte ormandaki kuş sesleri ve manzara beni oldukça büyülüyordu. En son Rize'de böyle güzel yerleri gezmiştim. Yürüyüş esnasında farklı açılardan fotoğraf çektim.

After a walk of about ten minutes I reached the small pond. There was not a single person there. I was alone with nature and the pond, and the ducks.
They were resting on a tree branch. When they saw me, they were scared and didn't dive into the water. Maybe they were used to people now. I took their photos from a distance of about four meters. I didn't want to spoil their fun by getting too close.

Yaklaşık on dakikalık bir yürüyüşün ardından küçük göletin olduğu kısma ulaştım. Tek bir kişi bile yoktu. Adeta doğa ve gölet ile baş başaydım. Birde ördekler...
Ağacın dalında dinleniyorlardı. Beni görünce korkup suya dalmadılar. Belki de artık insanlara alışmışlardı. Yaklaşık dört metrelik mesafeden fotoğraflarını çektim. Çok fazla yaklaşarak keyiflerini bozmak istemedim.

After saying goodbye to the cute ducks, I continued my walk from the walkway next to the small pond to the big pond and the terrace. I took photos of the flowers and landscapes by the pond that appealed to my eyes. Although the distance between the two lakes was a bit far, this distance seemed very close to me due to the magical view. I realized that I was approaching the big lake when I saw the buildings. The part where the big lake is located is where the forest ends.
People who live in these buildings are really lucky. Honestly, I would like to live in one of those buildings. You don't age here.

Sevimli ördeklere veda ettikten sonra küçük göletin yanındaki yürüyüş yolundan büyük gölün, terasın olduğu kısma doğru yürüyüşüme devam ettim. Göl kenarındaki gözüme hitap eden çiçeklerin, manzaraların fotoğrafını çektim. İki göl arasındaki mesafe her ne kadar biraz uzak olsa da büyülü manzaranın etkisiyle bu mesafe bana çok yakın geldi. Büyük göle yaklaştığımı binaları görünce anladım. Büyük göletin olduğu kısım ormanın bittiği verdi.
Bu binalarda oturan kişiler gerçekten çok şanslı. Açıkçası o binalardan birinde oturmak isterdim. İnsan buralarda yaşlanmaz.

After visiting the area around the big pond, I went up the wooden stairs to the observation terrace. A local news channel was shooting on the terrace. They recorded my thoughts about the forest and recorded them. I followed the news channel for a few days but they didn't publish it. 😅
It was much more beautiful to watch the lake from the viewpoint. My biggest regret is that I didn't bring anything to eat and drink with me. I was really thirsty.

Büyük göletinde civarını gezdikten sonra ahşap merdivenlerden seyir terasına çıktım. Terasın olduğu kısımda yerel bir haber kanalı çekim yapıyordu. Bana orman hakkında düşüncelerimi çekip kayıt altına aldılar. Haber kanalını birkaç gün takip ettim ancak yayınlamadılar. 😅
Seyir terasının olduğu noktadan gölü izlemek çok daha güzeldi. En büyük pişmanlığım yanımda yiyecek ve içecek bir şeyler getirmemiş olmam. Gerçekten çok susamıştım.

After about ten minutes of walking, I reached the exit and noticed that there was a café. I ordered a cold drink and dessert. The prices were very reasonable. After fulfilling my needs, I took the subway back.
It was a great trip for me. I would definitely recommend it to those who come to Istanbul for sightseeing. Make sure you have water and snacks with you.

Tepenin olduğu yerden ormanın çıkışına doğru hareket ettim. Yaklaşık on dakikalık bir yürüyüşün ardından çıkışa ulaştım ve bir kafenin olduğunu fark ettim. Soğuk içecek ve tatlı sipariş ettim. Fiyatları çok uygundu. İhtiyaçlarımı giderdikten sonra metroyla dönüş aldım.
