Las producciones de misterios y asesinatos siempre han sido mis favoritas, hace un tiempo les compartí en una publicación una serie de 18 películas para televisión producidas por Hallmark Movies & Mysteries llamada Un misterio para Aurora Teagarden, está serie me encanta, porque en cada película hay un asesinato que resolver y Aurora en compañía de sus amigos, aunque no son detectives logran resolver el misterio.

Este tipo de películas para mí son muy entretenidas, disfruto ir tejiendo las pistas que nos dejan en cada escena e ir sospechando de algunos personajes pero que al final no tienen nada que ver, eso para mi es lo máximo. Les cuento eso para que entiendan el porque me gustó tanto está serie de las que les voy a contar hoy , que aunque tiene muchos aspectos diferente a las películas de Aurora Teagarden y una de esas es que los protagonistas si son detectives, también tiene sus similitudes ya que trata de asesinatos y misterios que resolver.

Mystery and murder productions have always been my favorite, some time ago I shared with you in a publication a series of 18 TV movies produced by Hallmark Movies & Mysteries called A Mystery for Aurora Teagarden, I love this series, because in each movie there is a murder to solve and Aurora and her friends, although they are not detectives, manage to solve the mystery.

This kind of movies for me are very entertaining, I enjoy weaving the clues that are left in each scene and go suspecting some characters but in the end they have nothing to do, that for me is the best. I tell you that to understand why I liked so much this series that I’m going to tell you today, that although it has many different aspects to the films of Aurora Teagarden and one of those is that the protagonists are detectives, it also has its similarities as it deals with murders and mysteries to solve.

Three Pines, es una serie basada en las novelas Louise Penny. En su primera temporada tiene 8 capítulos, es protagonizada por Alfred Molina en el personaje del Inspector Jefe Armand Gamache, un hombre observador de los que pueden ver en la oscuridad y escuchar en el silencio, pero que aunque al principio podemos pensar que se pueda parecer a Hércules Poirot personaje creado por Ágatha Christie, para mí no fue así, Gamache es sobrio, sensible, amable, sencillo, con una presencia que inspira confianza. La actuación de Alfred Molina fue magistral me encantó este personaje.

Su equipo de trabajo está conformado por los detectives Isabelle Lacoste, una mujer de origen indígena, madre soltera y con gran sentido de la responsabilidad y la ética . Jean-Guy Beauvoir y la policía inexperta Nichol.

La historia se desarrolla en Canadá en el pueblo de Three Pines dónde Gamache y su equipo son enviados a investigar la muerte de una gran famosa actriz, lo que ellos no sabían es que se quedarían más del tiempo esperado y que se iban a encontrar con una pueblo lleno de secretos y habitantes misteriosos pero en ningún momento tenebrosos o que demuestren maldad.

Three Pines is a series based on the novels by Louise Penny. In its first season it has 8 chapters, it stars Alfred Molina in the character of Chief Inspector Armand Gamache, an observant man of those who can see in the dark and listen in silence, but although at first we may think that it may resemble Hercule Poirot character created by Agatha Christie, for me it was not so, Gamache is sober, sensitive, kind, simple, with a presence that inspires confidence. Alfred Molina’s interpretation was masterful, I loved this character.

His team is made up of detectives Isabelle Lacoste, a woman of indigenous origin, a single mother with a great sense of responsibility and ethics. Jean-Guy Beauvoir and the inexperienced policeman Nichol.

The story takes place in Canada in the town of Three Pines where Gamache and his team are sent to investigate the death of a famous actress, what they did not know is that they were going to stay longer than expected and that they were going to find a town full of secrets and mysterious inhabitants but at no time dark or showing evil.

En los 8 capítulos nos encontraremos con 4 asesinatos y cada uno es resuelto en dos capítulos, esto me gustó, ya que se toma de una manera sencilla el tiempo para la investigación, entender las circunstancias, lograr un mejor desarrollo de los personajes, conocer a cada uno de ellos, sus problemas familiares, culturales, ancestrales y dónde todos parecen culpables y hasta da la idea que actúan en complot para no ser descubiertos.

En el transcurso de los capítulos vamos conociendo el trasfondo de las historias, los secretos de los habitantes y hasta de los mismos detectives. Entonces no es solo un asesinato que requiere ser resultó sino que hay una historia detrás de todo el evento que se necesita conocer para poder entender y hasta llegar a sentirse empático con los motivos que lo llevo a cometer un crimen.

Cómo cualquier persona normal los detectives tienen una vida privada que también es tocada en la serie y como está parte de sus vidas puede llegar a influir en el desenvolvimiento de su vida profesional y al contrario.

In the 8 chapters we will find 4 murders and each one is solved in two chapters, I liked this, because it takes in a simple way the time for the investigation, to understand the circumstances, to achieve a better development of the characters, to know each one of them, their family, cultural, ancestral problems and where they all seem guilty and even gives the idea that they act in a plot to avoid being discovered.

In the course of the chapters we get to know the background of the stories, the secrets of the inhabitants and even of the detectives themselves. So it’s not just a murder that needs to be solved, but there is a story behind the whole event that you need to know in order to understand and even feel empathetic with the motives that led to committing a crime.

Like any normal person, detectives have a private life that is also touched in the series and how this part of their lives can influence the development of their professional life or the other way around.

Adicional a los asesinatos veremos durante los 8 capítulos la investigación del equipo para encontrar a Blue Two-Rivers, una joven Indígena desaparecida desde hace dos años. Desde el primer capítulo cuando Armand presencia una protesta por la desaparición de mujeres indígenas en Canadá, se obsesiona y compromete con la familia de la joven en descubrir dónde está Blue. Este es un tema social y cultural que se trata en la serie así como también es el genocidio de niños Indígenas en Canadá en escuelas residenciales católicas durante el siglo XIX, un hecho despreciable que desconocía y del que pude hacerme una idea gracias a la serie para luego poder investigar.

De verdad lamento que se haya anunciado la cancelación de la serie y que solo podamos disfrutar esta única temporada, espero que más adelante se cambie de decisión ya que el final me dejó un poco de intriga y quisiera saber que va a pasar después de eso. Mi opinión final es que es una excelente serie para las personas que disfruten este género detectivesco, reunir pistas y sospechar de todos, porque tal vez todos tengan un motivo para cometer un asesinato.

In addition to the murders, we will see during the 8 episodes the team’s investigation to find Blue Two-Rivers, a young indigenous woman who has been missing for two years. This is a social and cultural issue addressed in the series, as is the genocide of indigenous children in Canada at Catholic boarding schools during the 19th century, a despicable fact I was unaware of and was able to get an idea of thanks to the series so I could then investigate.

I am very sorry that the cancellation of the series has been announced and that we can only enjoy this one season, I hope that later the decision will be changed as the ending left me a little intrigued and I would like to know what will happen next. My final opinion is that it is an excellent series for people who enjoy this detective genre, collecting clues and suspecting everyone, because maybe everyone has a motive to commit a murder.
