Hola, gente de Internet, me había tardado un poco en ver esta obra de arte, y es que no quería que lo que tenía que decir de la cinta se perdiera entre mil post que hablan del mismo tema, ya que si bien siempre hago mi mayor esfuerzo por hacer criticas de películas con mucha calidad, en esta ocasión trabajaré el doble ya que este trabajo fílmico lo merece.
I must say in advance that if you have already seen my previous reviews, you will know that few things surprise, and like me and that is that currently the genres and the art of cinema itself have declined quite a bit, so it is difficult to find gems like this, and Yes, from a score of 1 to 10 I would give it 100, so you can imagine the quality of the film.
Debo decir de antemano que si ya han visto mis anteriores criticas, sabrán que pocas cosas me sorprenden y gustan, y es que en la actualidad los géneros y el arte del cine en sí ha decaído bastante, así que es difícil encontrar joyas como esta, y sí, de una puntuación del 1 al 10 le daría 100, así que ya imaginarán la calidad de la cinta.
We could start talking about the story and I could say that the film does not gain merit from the story (they are real events) but from its way of telling it, contrary to previous adaptations of the fact, this film begins by developing the characters a little before After the accident, we already feel a little love and empathy towards them.
Podríamos empezar hablando de la historia, y podría decir que la película no gana mérito por la historia (son hechos reales) pero sí en su manera de contarla, contrario a las anteriores adaptaciones del hecho, esta película empieza desarrollando un poco a los personajes antes del accidente, así ya sentimos un poco de cariño y empatía hacia ellos.
The structure of the film is very good, at no point is it slow or boring, the dialogues are tremendously good and help tremendously with this aspect (the story). It should be noted that the dialogues are verbatim of what the real boys were talking about, however the script must make them stand out in some way for the cinema and in fact it succeeds.
La estructura de la película es muy buena, en ningún punto resulta lenta o aburrida, los dialogos son tremendamente buenos y ayudan tremendamente con este aspecto (la historia) cabe destacar que los dialogos son textuales de lo que hablaban los chicos reales, sin embargo el guion debe hacerlos resaltar de alguna manera para el cine, y en efecto lo logra.
The narrative and the performances were above my expectations, taking into account that this is the film debut of most of the actors, I was very impressed with the result of their work. They could convey what each scene demanded of them, the atmosphere they created was great and their performances alone were enough. Another point in favor that the film has and regarding the actors is the characterization, and I am not only referring to the resemblance of the actors to their real counterparts when they were young but also to the makeup and weight of the performers before, during and at the end of the movie.
La narrativa y las actuaciones estuvieron sobre mis expectativas, tomando en cuenta que este es el debut en cine de la mayoría de los actores, me impresionó mucho el resultado de su trabajo. Podían transmitir lo que cada escena les exigía, la ambientación que creaban era buenísima y solamente con sus actuaciones era suficiente. Otro punto a favor que tiene la película y referente a los actores es la caracterización, y no solo me refiero al parecido de los actores a sus contrapartes reales cuando eran jóvenes, sino también al maquillaje y peso de los interpretes antes, durante y al final de la película.

Los actores fueron sometidos a perdida de peso controlada por profesionales de la salud para las escenas donde tenía un tiempo considerable perdidos en las montañas, además las quemaduras del sol se veían bastante realistas, lo mismo con la resequedad de sus labios, ayuda muchísimo con la ambientación, contrario a otras adaptaciones cuyos protagonistas pareciera que se fueron de picnic a las montañas nevadas, quizá no quieras hacer adelgazar a tus actores hasta llegar a pesos peligrosos, pero al menos puedes maquillarlos para que se vean demacrados.
I would say that the cinematography is the strongest aspect of the film. It has interesting and impressive shots, in fact, as soon as the film begins we are shown an aerial shot of the mountain range with ambient sound of the freezy river running and the voice of Numa Turcati, serene, calm and which serves perfectly as an introduction.
Yo diría que la fotografía es el aspecto más fuerte de la película, cuenta con planos interesantes e impresionantes, de hecho, nada más empezar la película se nos muestra un plano aéreo de la cordillera con sonido ambiente del río helado corriendo, y la voz de Numa Turcati, serena, tranquila y que sirve perfectamente de introducción.

During the accident that allude to disorientation, the subjective ones when the rescue helicopters arrive, or the shots of the fuselage once the boys leave, each and every one of them allude to loneliness and the overflowing water bottle that does not need no one use it ever again.
Hay muchos planos aéreos y abiertos, esto, claro está, es para mostrarnos la inmensidad del lugar del accidente y residencia de nuestros protagonistas, también otros planos destacables como el plano congelado con close up cuando hablan de la muerte de Marcelo, los planos con movimiento durante el accidente que aluden a la desorientación, los subjetivos cuando llegan los helicópteros de rescate, o los planos del fuselaje una vez que los chicos se van, todos y cada uno de ellos aluden a la soledad y a la botella de agua rebosante que no necesita que nadie la use nunca más.

Creo que en cuanto a escenas y dialogos, dos de ellos fueron los que me conmovieron más, uno de ellos es Carlos Páez diciendo "Carlitos Miguel Páez, mi hijo" cuando leía la lista de los sobrevivientes (y tiene más significado una vez que sabes que el "actor" es realmente Carlitos Páez interpretando a su padre) La otra escena es en efecto la llegada de los helicópteros al grupo de sobrevivientes, y finalmente está la escena de Nando gritando con mucha emoción, casi hasta las lágrimas "Ahí están, ahí están, están todos" recordemos que Roberto y Nando caminaron 10 días antes de poder encontrar ayuda, así que este par desconocía si durante su ausencia algún amigo más habría muerto, al verlos completos no pudo disimular su alegría.

Creo que escenas que me hubiese gustado ver en la película sería la reacción de los chicos al oír las noticias del hallazgo de Nando y Roberto, digamos que está la escena donde uno de ellos oye la noticia pero enseguida ya la siguiente escena es de ellos acicalándose para esperar la búsqueda, lo que ha dicho por ejemplo Carlitos Páez al respecto sobre ese momento, es que hubiese deseado haber filmado la situación porque fue muy emocionante, gritos y lágrimas de alegría, claro que al menos en la película nos compensan con las escenas del rescate en sí, pero quería ver esa alegría dos veces.

También hubiese querido más escenas del señor que encontró a Nando y Roberto debido a que fue fundamental para el rescate de todos, dicho hombre cabalgó 10 horas hasta el lugar donde estaba los carabineros y tuvo que convencerlos de que lo que decía era verdad ya que nadie creían que después de dos meses los chicos estuviesen vivos, afortunadamente tenía la carta de Nando y fue con esta con que finalmente le creyeron y organizaron la búsqueda.
Finally I have to talk about the Soundtack. It's spectacular! It has very beautiful compositions which are placed in the correct scenes and end up setting the scene perfectly. Having already talked about the cinematography, the setting and now the soundtrack, I have to say that another of my favorite scenes in these three aspects is the one before the rescue, when the golden light of the rising sun sneaks a little through the fuselage, everyone sleeps except one who is looking at the beautiful bicolor landscape (gold and white) while listening to the radio, which plays "Ave Maria", one of the most beautiful compositions and with a very obvious spiritual connotation when they abruptly interrupt it to say that the identity of the two strangers they found is nothing more and nothing less than Nando and Roberto. From the beautiful cinematography, very well set by the Ave María, to the voice of emotion of the announcer is shocking, if we had added to this the emotion of the boys, it would have been perfect, although as I said before, the film leaves us with a scene . Exciting and heartwarming rescue:
Finalmente tengo que hablar del Sountack ¡Es espectacular! tiene composiciones muy bonitas las cuales están colocadas en las escenas correctas y terminan ambientando perfectamente. Ya habiendo hablado de la fotografía, de la ambientación y ahora de la banda sonora, tengo que decir que otra de mis escenas preferidas en estos tres aspectos es la previa al rescate, cuando la luz dorada del sol naciente se cuela un poco por el fuselaje, todos duermen menos uno que está mirando el hermoso paisaje bicolor (dorado y blanco) mientras escucha la radio, la cual reproduce "ave maría" una de las composiciones más hermosas y con una connotación espiritual muy obvia cuando abruptamente la interrumpen para decir que la identidad de los dos desconocidos que hallaron se trata nada más y nada menos que de Nando y Roberto. Desde la fotografía preciosa, muy bien ambientada por el Ave María, hasta la voz de emoción del locutor es estremecedora, si a esto le hubiésemos agregado la emoción de los chicos, hubiese sido perfecta, aunque como dije antes, el film nos deja una escena conmovedora y emocionante del rescate:

Thanks to the dead, the living are alive and that is why in this film each and every one of them, regardless of whether they were decisive in the event or not, whether they died instantly or not, each and every one of them has their name on the screen as a kind of tribute, so it was another of my favorite aspects of the film, the respect for those who did not manage to survive but were essential even after death to save their friends
Amé que la película estuviese enfocada en contar los hechos desde el punto de vista de Numa Turcatti, quién además todos dicen que era una excelente persona, la historia la narra un muerto porque ellos fueron la pieza fundamental para la supervivencia de los otros "No hay amor más grande que el que da la vida por sus amigos" cita que dejó escrita Numa para sus amigos antes de morir, a diferencia de las anteriores adaptaciones que son más de acción, o que toman con morbo el suceso de la antropofagia, La Sociedad de la Nieve explica los hechos como una historia de supervivencia donde los amigos trabajaron como equipo y donde fundaron una sociedad en la que si morían, donaban su cuerpo a sus amigos para asegurarles la existencia. Gracias a los muertos, los vivos están vivos, y es por eso que en esta película cada uno de ellos, sin importar si fueron determinantes en el evento o no, si murieron instantáneamente o no, todos y cada uno tienen su nombre en la pantalla como una especie de homenaje, así que fue otro de mis aspectos preferidos de la película, el respeto por los que no lograron sobrevivir, pero fueron fundamentales aun después de muertos para salvar a sus amigos.

Sí, ciertamente es maravillosa, no le conseguí ni un detalle negativo.
Esta película es todo lo que está bien en cuanto a cine, yo también quedé picada esperando la reacción de los sobrevivientes a la noticia de que Nando y Roberto sí habían llegado.
Te recomiendo que veas el detrás de cámaras (sacaron un documental), para los adictos al cine es maravillosa la mezcla entre cómo hicieron la película y cómo lo vivieron los actores.
