A Country in Turmoil
As Nigeria celebrates another anniversary it is met by adversity.
I recently read a news story by vanguard talking about the #Endbadgovernance movement and as a Nigerian living, breathing and growing in Nigeria I wake up to the same problem everyday, a problem we keep on shifting blame to, a problem where no one is responsible except who they've accused.
Another story was released and this story bothered on the women association of ____ who protested against the planned protest. They released a memo talking about how change doesn't begin immediately and how every government has their own lapses.
I couldn't be more distraught as this is something happening around me.
Now I ask myself this question, who will I blame, the country?, the government?, the people?, you and I?.
The truth is everyone is to blame, because one way or the other we have aided in corrupt practices, we've stolen, we've lied, heck we've even coveted.
All I can do now is hope and pray that a slow ripple of change will begin, and hope the change lasts long.
Thank you for reading.
