Dear friends of this community, first of all, I really appreciate all of you for reading my writings, which drives me to continue sharing with you my direct and indirect experiences of interesting places in our geographical environment. Today, I presented a house that, from being the home of a famous Ecuadorian lady, based in Bogotá, became a museum of Colombian regional costumes. The photographs were taken by my dear friend and university colleague Luz Marina Rivas, currently a professor at a university in Bogotá.

This house-museum, opened to the public in 1975, founded by the anthropologist Edith Jiménez de Muñoz, is located on the famous and historic 10th Street, in the Rufino José Cuervo square, in the historic center of Bogotá, and has been considered as a Monument National. Walking through its chambers is to take a historical journey through the culture and diversity of the country's inhabitants. It contains more than 1,000 pieces of clothing from the 6 indigenous and regional families, pottery, and basketry, used throughout the national territory, including, of course, the clothing of the pre-Hispanic communities, the European clothing of the time, and the clothing of the Afro communities that arrived with the Spanish.
