Soulstice | Going Berserk [No Commentary Gameplay]

Hello there, gamers of the blockchain!

We start this section of the game after getting off the boat and moving through the inner parts of the city. No enemies are shown in the way. It feels too easy. However, we'll find out it isn't the case. Two weird monsters are waiting for us at the gate. These are the enemies that almost killed us with the blast of energy. As a remark from Lute these beings are way out of our league.

So, we have our first chase of the game. We need to escape from the big head. There isn't much we can do. We have to move and avoid its attacks and then keep moving when we find a hiding place. The confrontation comes next, but we will prove to be no match for the monster. Donovan will come out of nowhere to push us away when we were near defeat.

Next, we'll have another of those memory reconstructions by Lute. But this time, Briar will give in to the powers of the crystal in her chest. What comes next is entering a Berserk state. This happens when we activate Rapture with low health. On this state, we can't control Briar's movements. We can try to guide her a bit. If we don't try to control her at the end, we'll die and that will be it. Berserk state is interesting as it can save us in a bad situation, but it is also a bet.

After getting out of our Berserk sate, we'll find ourselves saved by Layton. Some scolding, we'll receive a new weapon, a whip. This is an amazing tool for crowd control and light enemies. It will come in handy when a lot of enemies clusters are around us.

To end this section of the game, we need to fight an Abomination. This enemy is an amalgam of many bodies put together by wraiths. We need to beat it and then defeat the wraiths to destroy it.

As you can see this chapter of the game had a few interesting references. First, there's the reference to the Berserk Manga. Second, there's the WoW reference with the Abomination.
