Thoughts about the newest Humble Drop: June 2024.png

Risk of Rain 2
Knights of Honor 2: Sovereign
Lego 2K Drive Awesome Edition
Warhammer 40k: Battlesector
Miasma Chronicles
Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical
A Guidebook of Babel
Empyrion - Galactic Survival

Getting there... I'm now up to the June 2024 Humble Bundle drop! And this was a sort of decent one with a bunch of things that I have had wishlisted. So, a decent amount of claims this time... to add to my pile of unplayed game shame!

The lead for the June Humble Bundle is Risk of Rain 2. Now, this is a game that I've heard a lot about.... the original Risk of Rain as well, as a rogue-like action game. Something that has had good reviews from both critical and gamer sources. I've never tried either... and I'm not sure that the action part is up my alley, but the rogue like definitely is... so, I'm curious enough to want to try it out. It does have a pretty eye-catching art style, and will be a nice addition to my Steam Deck for travel gaming! Claimed!

Knights of Honor is an interesting one... a medieval grand strategy sort of game. These are some of the sorts of games I prefer, I do love a grand strategy game that lasts over several years of on and off playing. But I've always been a fan of Paradox and their lineup of grand strategy... so, having one from a different publisher is a bit weird, but I'll give it a go and see if they an stack up against the old favourite!

Up in the air with the next one... 2k Lego Drive. It does look like fun, but I still need to hook up a machine to the TV so that we can do PC gaming on a local multiplayer setup. And we have Mario Kart already... so, might still claim it, and get moving on the PC setup for the TV. My kids are still wanting to play Dungeon Defenders, and I want to introduce them to Portal 2! Maybe I'll leave this one to the game store...

Battlesector combines two of my favourite things... the 40K Warhammer universe and Turn-Based gaming! This addition to the Bundle is a no-brainer for me... except that I already bought it on a Steam sale!

Miasma Chronicles! I don't know why this didn't LEAD the bundle... Turn-based RPG from the makers of Mutant Year Zero. Sure, Mutant Year Zero turned out to not be exactly what everyone was hoping for... but it was still a decent game for turn-based RPG lovers... and I've been wanting to add Miasma to my game list for ages. Thankfully, I waited and held off on buying it in the various sales... and now it IS MINE!

Stray Gods is another interesting game that has also been on my wishlist for ages! It is a game that is hard to describe, but it has been a definite indie gamer cult favourite! Check out the store page for the lovely art style and interesting story setup! So, this is going right on my Steam Deck for the gaming sessions on the interstate buses!

Guidebook of Babel is another indie game with an interesting narrative setup and art style... help travelers rewrite their past with your magic pen? A puzzle-adventure game... again, interesting enough to pique my interest and to install it on the Deck! Plus, it does look like the sort of interesting thing that my kids might also like!

Empyrion is another survival builder... one of many, and another on that is set in space. I do enjoy these sorts of games even though I do start to lose interest after a while and drift off... but perhaps this will be the one to hold my attention for a while?

Nice one here, I haven't heard about these games but I will love to try them one after the other. But I am curious about how you decide what to play first?

Haha... when I get around to them... after finishing the long list of games that I'm already batting through...

... probably Miasma, a game with a definite story and finish point! Or maybe Stray Gods!
