I hope you are well or doing your best to be well. I told you in my previous post that I was going to talk about a recipe, but as you can appreciate, things don't always go as planned.
Now I want to tell you about a mini-series I finished 2 or 3 days ago, Lorena. This mini-series published on Amazon Prime Video consists of 4 episodes and meets with the audience in 2019.
There were actually two reasons why I started watching this series. The first was that it was short and the second was the subject. I started watching it directly without reading anything, but unlike me, you can start by watching the trailer. I'm adding it right here.
Lorena is a woman with a tiny body but a warrior's mind. The series tells the story of what Lorena had to live with, what her ‘husband’ did to her, and how the trial process affects today's violence against women cases. As you can see, it is the first of its kind.
What crossed my mind in the first episode was that since it was a True-Crime series, Lorena's husband's penis was cut off and the series aimed to denigrate women. Honestly, I can say that I started without any additional information.
This man, who continues to lie even after his oath, makes another woman of foreign origin go through the same things, if not worse, after Lorena gets rid of him. It is very sad that Lorena, after coming to America from Ecuador with her American dreams, encountered such a scoundrel and experienced these bad events.
It is both sad and happy that Lorena has to be a light of hope for women while even thinking about women's rights in the 1990s squeezes my heart.
And the fact that he was still stubbornly lying that this scumbag didn't do anything was the thing that annoyed me the most in this series. I'm sorry, I should also remember that in a r^pe case, there was a judge's reversal that accepted this scumbag as ‘innocent’.
While the second court accepted the existence of all of these, it was a complete disappointment for me that the other court did not create any criminal proceedings just because they thought it was a ‘domestic dispute’.
Anyway, there are actually a lot of things I could say about this series, but it is impossible for me to do so without creating any hate content, and I think you have probably already understood the subject of the series from what I have written so far.
Each episode lasts about 1 hour and you can finish this series in a total of about 4 hours. Honestly, I would like to learn more about what happened during the campaign for women's rights, but it is not difficult to understand why they did not do that in this series.
I was very happy to see Lorena finally redeem herself. Afterwards, it was even happier that she had a marriage in which she said she was happy.
While watching this series, I experienced many different emotions at the same time, such as hate, happiness, joy and sadness. This time, agreeing with IMDb, I think the score of this series is 7.2/10. I think it is a series that deserves it, not rich in terms of image quality, but sometimes with beautiful transitions. I think it is possible to say that if it is already to be watched, they did not think about it so much because the subject is at the forefront.

Lorena, vücudu minik olan ama tam bir savaşçı zihnine sahip bir kadın. Dizi Lorena'nin yaşamak zorunda kaldığı, "eşi" denecek insan müsveddesinin ona yaptıklarını ve dava sürecinin günümüz kadına şiddet davalarını nasıl etkilediğini anlatıyor. Anlayacağınız türünün ilk örneği.

Her bölüm yaklaşık 1 saat sürüyor ve toplamda 4 saat kadar bir sürede bu diziyi bitiriebilirsiniz. Açıkçası kadın hakları için olan savaş süresince neler olduğunu daha detaylı öğrenmek isterdim ama neden bu dizide bunu yapmadıklarını anlamak zor değil.
Lorena'nın sonunda kendini kurtardığını görmek beni çok sevindirdi. Sonrasında ise mutlu olduğunu söylediği bir evliliği olması daha da mutluluk verdi.
Bu diziyi izlerken çok farklı duyguları aynı anda yaşadım. Nefret, mutluluk, sevinç ve üzüntü gibi. Bu sefer IMDb ile aynı fikirde olarak bu dizinin puanının 7.2/10 olduğunu düşünüyorum. Bence bunu hak eden, görüntü kalitesi açısından zengin olmayan ama bazen güzel geçişleri olan bir dizi. Zaten izlenecekse eğer konusu ön planda olduğu içi buna o kadar da kafa yormamışlar demek mümkün sanırım.
