The life of the swallow and recap of my emigration process. Tomorrow June 19, 7 months after my departure from Argentina

In the months I have been out of Argentina, I have already lived in 3 different places. I left on November 19, 2023, at a time when the country was about to enter another economic cycle of which nobody knew (nor knows) very well what would happen.

At that moment, my less patriotic side found itself waving a classic handshake to Argentine society as I embarked on a new adventure of a lifetime.

It may seem a bit selfish, but it's not. I do recognize a bit of disinterest on my part in the matter, but because my own philosophy of life is more linked to detachment to whatever, even to the homeland (in the end, you always carry in your soul that little corner of the planet).

I'll talk a bit more about that later, but today, I want to share with Hive about my home land at the moment and the work comings and goings that go with it.

La vida de la golondrina y recap de mi proceso emigratorio. Mañana 19 de junio, a 7 meses de mi partida de Argentina

En los meses que llevo fuera de Argentina, ya he vivido en 3 lugares diferentes. Me fui el 19 de Noviembre de 2023, momento en el que el país estaba a punto de entrar en otro ciclo económico del cual nadie sabía (ni sabe) muy bien lo que ocurriría.

En ese momento, mi lado menos patriota se vio saludando con un clásico movimiento de mano a la sociedad argentina mientras yo me embarcaba vuelo a una nueva aventura de mi vida.

Puede parecer algo egoísta, pero no. Sí reconozco un poco de desinterés de mi parte ante la cosa, pero porque mi propia filosofía de vida está más vinculada al desapego a lo que sea, incluso a la tierra natal (al final, siempre se lleva en el alma ese rinconcito de planeta).

Más adelante hablaré un poco más de aquello, pero hoy, quiero compartir con Hive sobre mi tierra hogar en este momento y las idas y vueltas laborales que la acompañan.

When I was in high school and even in college, studying Geography, we were told a lot about the swallow workers. Even in the 4th year of the Argentine Geography course, we studied very well the itinerancy as a way of life.

That information always came to me as if it were a step prior to the sophisticated sedentary civilization in which we all used to be born and grow up.

Today, besides the fact that I love seagulls, I must say that since the moment I left the country (I will count at this moment), I have been living like a working swallow, since I have been doing seasonal jobs, one after the other, for 7 months (tomorrow will be 7 months).

Cuando iba a la escuela secundaria e incluso en la universidad, estudiando la carrera de Geografía, nos hablaban mucho de los trabajadores golondrina. Incluso, en Geografía Argentina ya en 4to año de la carrera, estudiamos muy bien la itinerancia como modo de vida.

Siempre llegó a mí aquella información como si se hablara de un paso previo a la sofisticada civilización sedentaria en la que todos solemos nacer y crecer.

Hoy, además de que amo a las gaviotas, debo decir que llevo desde el momento que me fui del país (haré la cuenta en este momento), 7 meses clavados (mañana se cumplirán los 7 meses), en que estoy viviendo como una trabajadora golondrina, ya que vengo realizando trabajos de temporada, uno tras otro.

Exhausting seasonal jobs where you have to "give it all" because there are only a few months to "accumulate" (for now I am recovering...) money.

You can imagine, especially those who know me a little better, when I suddenly find myself "accumulating", and above all, when I find myself working non-stop. I have already asked myself several times, what for? But well, reading "The Richest Man in Babylon", which I have finished these days, has offered me a good and interesting perspective on money (now I don't know if I should do this post in Leo Finance).

Anyway, the thing is that I am in my home number 3, which consists of a small room very similar to my room in Mendoza, Argentina. I consider this a blessing, because I was needing to feel some part of me in my comfort zone.

I've already been through 4 jobs (I'm on my 4th) and a test. And this time, I'm in a city that feels very much like home. One of those faraway lands that not because they look like Mendoza, but because they resonate with me, suddenly, they do embrace as if we had to meet.

Agotadores trabajos de temporada en donde hay que “darlo todo” porque son unos pocos meses para “acumular” (por ahora vengo recuperando…) dinero.

Se imaginarán, ante misma filosofía, en especial quienes me conocen un poco más, cuando de pronto me encuentro “acumulando”, y sobre todo, cuando me encuentro trabajando sin cesar. Me he preguntado ya varias veces, ¿para qué? Pero bueno, la lectura de “El Hombre más Rico de Babilonia” que he terminado en estos días, me ha ofrecido una buena e interesante perspectiva del dinero (ahora no sé si debería hacer este post en Leo Finance).

En fin, la cosa es que me encuentro en mi hogar numero 3, que consiste en una pequeña habitación muy similar a mi habitación de Mendoza, Argentina. Considero a esto una bendición, porque estaba necesitando sentir a alguna parte de mi en mi zona de confort.

Ya he pasado por 4 trabajos (estoy en el 4to) y una prueba. Y esta vez, estoy en una ciudad que se siente mucho como casa. Una de esas tierras lejanas que no porque se parezcan a Mendoza, sino porque resuenan conmigo, de pronto, sí que abrazan como si hubiésemos tenido que encontrarnos.

This time I am in a village. And my village is called Siesta. It is next to Santa Eulalia, a small town that I have already told you a lot about and get ready, because I will continue to do so.

Living in Siesta fills my heart with joy and I don't know why, but it makes me feel proud.

Esta vez estoy en un pueblo. Y mi pueblo se llama Siesta. Está al lado de Santa Eulalia, una pequeña ciudad de la que ya les he hablado mucho y prepárense, porque lo seguiré haciendo.

Vivir en Siesta me llena el corazón de alegría y no sé muy bien por qué, pero me hace sentir orgullosa.

Siesta is a land of peace. It is a place where the birds wake me up in the morning and send me off at night. Siesta has movement, but more than that it has calm.

Siesta told me "this way" when I first arrived on this side of the island, one day when I was about to buy a ticket to leave Ibiza.

My job is also in Siesta, and even though I dislike my bosses and the work in dependency, I must say that for the first time in 7 consecutive months, I finally have a moment of tranquility.

Siesta es una tierra de paz. Es un lugar en donde los pajaritos me despiertan por la mañana y me despiden por la noche. Siesta tiene movimiento, pero más tiene calma.

Siesta me dijo “es por acá” cuando apenas llegué a este otro lado de la isla, un día en el que estuve a punto de comprar un pasaje para salir de Ibiza.

Mi trabajo, también se encuentra en Siesta, y aunque reniegue de mis jefes y del trabajo en relación de dependencia, debo decir que por primera vez en 7 meses consecutivos, al fin tengo un momento de tranquilidad.
