Middle East adventures: Street art in Jerusalem

Hello everybody!! I hope your day is going great!! Today I want to share with you some pictures that will make you travel for a while to Jerusalem. This is a city as you probably already know, in Israel, wit three very strong religions: Catholicism, Judaism and Islam, and these three cultures coexist and share territory and traditions. Of course these traditions are practiced by each religion is not that all together share everything, in fact it happens in the opposite way,but yes in the place you can see characteristics from all of them.

Something that called my attention in the city, was this art, that in a very lovely and careful way was just there, making Jerusalem even more beautiful that it is. The paintings are very fancy and complex, and they also have big structures like the radio over there, or pianos that are in different parts of the city.

Between the beautiful architecture and the evidence of ancient history in the city, Jerusalem, with these works arranged with extreme naturalness on the public road, was able to capture you in a dream that seemed to be inside another dream, because the city itself already has the power to move you to some unknown dimension where you feel an almost absolute calm, even in the midst of the chaos that can come to exist in it due to political and social tensions.

Jerusalem is art itself, it is history, it is life and death, and it is constant expansion. These paintings and elements, at least in my experience, although they seem simple, managed to captivate my attention, making me lose myself in the contemplation and analysis of such works.

It has been a long time since I wanted to share this publication with Liketu and for one reason or another I did not do it, but now it is time to do it, especially in the context of Christmas, a time that is very much identified with this city, as it is the place where Jesus was born. Well, actually he was born in Bethlehem, which is in Palestine, but clearly that energy radiates, reaching Jerusalem.

Aventuras en el Medio Oriente: Arte Callejero en Jerusalén

¡Hola a todos! ¡¡Espero que su día vaya genial!! Hoy quiero compartir con vosotros unas fotos que os harán viajar por un rato a Jerusalén. Esta es una ciudad como probablemente ya sabéis, en Israel, con tres religiones muy fuertes: Catolicismo, Judaísmo e Islam, y estas tres culturas coexisten y comparten territorio y tradiciones. Por supuesto estas tradiciones son practicadas por cada religión no es que todas juntas compartan todo, de hecho sucede al contrario, pero sí en el lugar se pueden ver características de todas ellas.

Algo que me llamo la atencion en la ciudad, fue este arte, que de una manera muy encantadora y cuidadosa estaba ahi, haciendo a Jerusalem aun mas bella de lo que es. Las pinturas son muy elegantes y complejas, y también tienen grandes estructuras como la radio de allí, o pianos que están en diferentes partes de la ciudad.

Entre la hermosa arquitectura y la evidencia de historia de antaño en la ciudad, Jerusalén, con estas obras dispuestas con extrema naturalidad en la vía pública, era capaz de capturarte en un sueño que parecía estar dentro de otro sueño, pues la misma ciudad ya tiene el poder de trasladarte a alguna dimensión desconocida en donde se siente una calma casi absoluta, incluso en el medio del caos que puede llegar a existir en ella debido a las tensiones políticas y sociales.

Jerusalén es arte en sí misma, es historia, es vida y muerte, y es expansión constante. Estas pinturas y elementos, al menos en mi experiencia, aunque parezcan sencillos, lograron cautivar mi atención, haciendo que me perdiera en la contemplación y el análisis de tales obras.

Hace tiempo qu tenía ganas de compartir esta publicación con Liketu y por uno u otro motivo no lo hacía, pero ya es momento de hacerlo, sobre todo saliendo del contexto de la Navidad, momento que se identifica muchísimo con esta ciudad, por ser el lugar donde nació Jesús. Bueno, en verdad nació en Belén, que está en Palestina, pero claramente esa energía se irradia, alcanzando a Jerusalén.
