Come and visit the Sant Jordi Market in Ibiza
Hello dear friends! This time we are going to visit the Mercadillo de Sant Jordi, something famous in Ibiza. Although I had never heard of this place, I found out about it only a week ago, when I started to promote my Yoga classes.
When doing the impressions, a man who is from Colombia but it seems that he has been here for quite some time, recommended me to go to distribute the brochure to this local market where according to him there were many people belonging to the world of Yoga.
The thing is that I went, but I found a place that at least was not what I expected, hehe.

This market reminded me of several markets and fairs I saw in Mendoza, and you could tell that people had gone there to have another kind of experience, because it wasn't even midday and almost everyone was already carrying drinks in their hands, and you could smell the smell of marijuana everywhere, hehe.
It was interesting that the atmosphere was really very relaxed and for sure there were several Yoga practitioners, but I don't know if that was the environment to share the brochure.
As always, it was a great experience, because in the end I got to know this famous flea market.
They sell basically everything from old and used products that seem to have no use, to very nice clothes, ornaments, plants and much more.
The flea market is set up at the Ibiza Hippodrome in the Eivissa area, and it is in the open air.
At one side there is a bar where people can sit down to eat and have a drink. That day this bar was full of people.
The parking lot is on one side and there was really nowhere to park. In my case I don't have a cart, but I could see how people were looking for space one block away from the market.
I managed to hand out several Yoga flyers luckily, but there were people who told me: no, thank you. Hehe, those were my first rejected flyers, folks. It was hard, I'm not going to say no, haha, but in the end it's okay, these are things that will happen on the road to entrepreneurship.
What I liked most about the Mercadillo was a store that sold clothes made from recycled material. It was very pretty, but extremely expensive. For example a little jacket that was practically shapeless but very pretty like for the beach, it was €70.
In this place they also sell all kinds of appliances (well, I didn't see refrigerators, hehe), as well as many ornaments for the house and for the body. Besides, the bags and t-shirts you can get here are very original.
What I didn't like too much is that at least I didn't find any food stores, which would be a great idea in case someone wanted to buy something in a space other than the canteen on the side.
It is a market where I recommend going early, because at noon it can be really hot.
After walking around here, I was hungry, but I didn't want to eat at the bar of this place, so I went towards the beach, where I found a bar called Nomade, hehe, very me. So I sat there and ordered a caña (a small beer) with some patatas bravas.

I laughed so much at this part... Maybe whoever told you that in this market you'd find a lot of potentials interested in Yoga classes was a bit mistaken... Ahahah
I miss so much Patatas Bravas!🤤 🍺
Hahaha yeah… it was an interesting experience lol.
I looove patatas bravas haha
Exactly, the problem is that the patatas bravas don't like me (calorie index... ahaha)
Heheh
How are you dear friend @belug good morning
How great that you were able to visit this place, it is a huge fair with a lot to see, I am not surprised that you liked the store that sells products with recycled material, I think that the prices of the clothing are a disparity everywhere
It's a shame that they rejected some of your promotional brochures, but as you say, it's part of learning.
Thank you very much for sharing this experience
Yes my friend!! It’s part of the path, and also I have to learn to take a “no” as an answer. Thanks a lot for your comment!!
