INTRODUCING THE SMILER! MY INTRODUCTION, MY FIRST POST ON HIVE

I am Christabel.

WHO IS CHRISTABEL?

As simple as this question sounds, it happens to be one of the most difficult questions for me to answer. I don't know if I'm alone on this. Or wait a minute, how long did it take you to put words together, to introduce yourself?

Well, thank you for being honest(laugh) I know you are rolling your eyes right now, don't worry, I'm thanking you because I know you answered the question in your mind. (Lols). Let's continue.

My full name is Christabel Enoh Akporode. I'm from Delta state. The Southern part of Nigeria. A native of Urhobo and yes, my middle name is Urhobo. And the meaning is a gift, it could also mean anything good, anything easy, soft, and the word soft is the very reason I don't like being called by the name because growing up a lot of individuals in my environment decided to stay committed to softness. Anytime I do something slowly, they will amplify that it's because my name means soft. Oh mine, I lost count of the number of times I had to explain myself because I hate being called that way.

My mother was always having to answer one question over and over again question like;
"Why did you name me Enoh?
Because you are a gift, and giving birth to you wasn't stressful, no pain, a lot of favor, everything was easy. "I think I experienced one of the best parts of my life when I was pregnant with you. Hence I named you Enoh my gift." She will often respond.
Me: So why are they calling me soft?
Mother: don't mind them, they don't know the meaning, I almost gave birth to you at the house. (Lol) and also Enoh means something soft in the language too.

Enough of digressing, WHO AM I? I'm the smiler, yes, once you see me, you see my smile. Like I'm smiling right now typing this (lol). If I'm not writing here, then I am in the kitchen baking or cooking. I make the best-coated peanut, talk about sumptuous chinchin, you wouldn't want to stop at one. Oh yes, I am so proud to say it. This is not pride, it is self-awareness, and a trial will convince you. If I am not doing any of the above, then I am creating content for the social media I managed as a social media manager or creating content for my course as a workplace relationship expert.

WHY AM I HERE?

I'm here because my friend @omosefe believes that Hive is a good place for me to be. And having checked what Hive is all about, I'm now very excited to be here. Thank you @omosefe
I love writing, I write for fun, and I write to express my thoughts. I'm a passionate storyteller, I bring out the story from anything I see, including my imagination. When I think of random stuff, I open my notepad and write, this is what I love doing and I'm not sorry(lol).

I hear that this place is a haven, where I can be expressive without fear. If this is true, please tell me "I'm welcome" before I post my next story. I do hope I find people who love my way of putting out my stories. And also find people that will inspire me to get better in my writing. I truly want to make you laugh, I want to make you feel at home when you're back from work. I do hope to be your go-to person in your leisure time.

To be honest, I don't know if I'm doing the right thing but I do hope I have communicated. I don't want to wait to become the best, I just want to keep writing until I'm good. I do hope you will be here to walk with me to perfection. For now, I will keep writing.
