Two-tone boxer inspired by Ant Miners (Eng - Esp)
Greetings friends lovers of yarn and needles, I wish you are enjoying good health, have a great day and the new month comes loaded with abundant blessings in every home, this time I share the elaboration of a boxer inspired by Ant Miners, a character from the Splinterlands cards, from which I took as a reference the vinotint colors found in part of his body and the gray of the tools he holds; I am taking advantage of my son's school vacations to finish the pending projects, among them the intimate apparel of my family.
Saludos amigos amantes de los hilos y las agujas, deseo se encuentren disfrutando de buena salud, tengan un excelente día y el nuevo mes venga cargado de abundantes bendiciones en cada hogar, en esta ocasaión comparto la elaboración de un boxer inspirado en Ant Miners, un personaje de las cartas de Splinterlands, del cual tomé como referencia los colores vinotinto que se encuentran en parte de su cuerpo y gris de las herramientas que sostiene; estoy aprovechando los días de vacaciones escolares de mi hijo para terminar los proyectos pendientes, entre ellos la ropa íntima de mi familia.

The first step was to mark and cut the pieces; front, back, center and side, then I faced the center pieces, pinned and sewed with a straight stitch on the curved part.

El primer paso fue marcar y cortar las piezas; delantero, posterior, centro y costado, luego enfrenté las piezas centrales sujeté con alfileres y cosí con puntada recta por la parte curva.
Then I faced the right sides of the front part and sewed the lower part together to form the hole where the reinforcement or central pieces will be glued.
Luego enfrenté los derechos de la parte delantera y cosí la parte inferior, al unirlas se forma el orificio donde se pegará el refuerzo o piezas centrales.
Assembled the front and center pieces, the next step was to glue the center of the boxer, I faced the right sides of the fabrics fixing the center to the crotch and joining the piece with pins by the edge in such a way that the rest of the fabric is inside making a kind of “bag”, I sewed along the contour, leaving the top part without sewing to turn over and so all the seams are embonated.
Ensamblado el delantero y piezas centrales, el siguiente paso fue pegar el centro del boxer, enfrenté los derechos de las telas fijando el centro a la entrepierna y uniendo la pieza con alfileres por el borde de tal forma que el resto de tela quede adentro haciendo una especie de "bolsa", pasé costura por el contorno, dejando la parte de arriba sin coser para voltear y así todas las costuras quedan embonadas.
To assemble the back, I joined the sides, pinned and sewed with a straight stitch.
Para armar el trasero uní los laterales, sujeté con alfileres y cosí con puntada recta.
Assembled the front and back, I faced both pieces on the right side, fastened with pins, closed the sides, the crotch and also sewed a hem of approximately 0.6 centimeters on the legs, so the boxer is assembled, just need to glue the elastic.
Ensamblado el delantero y posterior, enfrenté ambas piezas por el derecho, sujeté con alfileres, cerré los costados, la entrepierna y además cosí un dobladillo de aproximadanemnte 0.6 centímetros en las piernas, así está armado el boxer solo falta pegar el elástico.
To finish I glued the elastic facing the right side of the fabric and the back of the elastic, divided the elastic in four (4) parts, fastened with pins, sewed with zigzag stitch on the right side of the elastic stretching one (1) centimeter of elastic every five (5) centimeters; with these simple steps the boxer is finished.
Para finalizar pegué el elástico enfrentando derecho de la tela de la tela y revés del elástico, dividí el elástico en cuatro (4) partes, sujeté con alfileres, cosí con puntada de zigzag por el derecho del elástico estirando un (1) centímetro de elástico cada cinco (5) centímetros; con estos sencillos pasos está terminado el boxer.
The boxer combines the colors vinotinto and gray in the front, the back is gray, the initial idea was to use a gray elastic to match the fabric, but as I progressed in the project I realized that the white one was better, also creates a beautiful contrast of colors, the result I liked and looks great with the white elastic
El boxer combina los colores vinotinto y gris en la parde delantera, el posterior es gris, la idea inicial era usar un elástico de color gris a juego con la tela, pero a medida que avanzaba en el proyecto me di cuenta que el de color blanco quedaba mejor, además crea un hermoso contraste de colores, el resultado me gustó y se ve muy bien con el elástico blanco.
