The long process to sew my first shirt (Eng - Esp)
Greetings and blessings to this beautiful community of thread and needle lovers, I am happy to share with you again; I have been quite busy with a new sewing course, which has been a challenge, this time I found it very interesting because the instructor presented us with several options to develop and among all the participants we selected shirts for women, children and men; the first class was spectacular I took my notes and I thought I understood the process to make this type of garments.
I was so excited to sew my first shirt, that I forgot to take pictures of most of the process, I focused on joining the pieces and ironing each seam, I ironed the hem, glued the yoke (yoke or sweatshirt) to the back, sewed the front pieces with their respective hems then joined the shoulders, the process was going very well and I was very excited to finish and moved on to the next step.
Here is where I had some difficulties, when I glued the sleeves they did not match the armhole measurement, without being exaggerated I have unpicked more than 8 times and I still can not finish the sleeves, the process to glue them is very different from the flannels, it is a rigid fabric and must fit exactly one piece with the other, I have paused several projects to finish the shirt and I still can't glue the sleeves correctly, this week I have to complete the task and it is unfinished, I don't want to stress about it, I will just ask the instructor to explain it to me again so I can know where I am failing.
Honestly I want to learn how to make the shirts and I will take the necessary time calmly, I think that little by little I will advance, the anxiety to finish soon was not my best companion ha, ha on the contrary I had more work than I imagined, I hope in the next class I can advance and finish in the near future the shirt, that will make me very happy.
Blessings!
Bendiciones!
Hasta luego!

You're half done and surely it will turn out beautifully.
Hi @diosarich, I have made a lot of progress, now I need to finish the sleeves, glue the collar and buttons, I hope the process is not so difficult and finish the shirt, it would be great.
Have a nice day!
Thought it was a bit tedious, but soon you will finish your project and I'm sure it will be fantastic.
Gluing the sleeves has been a bit difficult, I hope to solve this step and finish the shirt.
I understand the stress that seamstresses go through especially when you are doing a new task that won't just fit in each other perfectly like the armhole and sleeve.
Well done dear I hope your instructors helps you to get it done better.
Hi @monica-ene, it's stressful to want to finish a sewing project and the pieces don't fit; when it's a new task that we don't know the anxiety takes advantage and it doesn't turn out to be the best companion, I think with patience and dedication I will manage to finish.
Have a nice day!
Please, I cant wait to see you get it done.
When it is finished I will share it with the community.
Greetings!
