Hello friends, lovers of architecture and design, I wish you an excellent weekend with your family; I share with you my visit to the historic center of the city, where I "discovered" an incredible house with colonial design that caught my attention since I saw it, for its beautiful decorative details, color and a "kind of reptile" that adorns the upper cornice, in addition to the striking color of the walls that does not go unnoticed, When I saw the house I made a pause in my errands to see the great design of the house, thank God the security guard was in front, after greeting him I asked permission to take pictures and asked several questions about this spectacular construction where currently operates an office of ifie.
Hola amigos amantes de la arquitectura y el diseño, les deseo un excelente fin de semana en unión de su familiares; comparto con ustedes mi visita al casco histórico de la ciudad, donde "descubrí" una increíble casa con diseño colonial que llamó mi atención desde que a vi, por sus hermosos detalles decorativos, color y una "especie de reptil" que adorna la cornisa superior, además del llamativo color de las paredes que no pasa desapercibido, al ver la casa hice una pausa en mis diligencias para ver el gran diseño de la casa, gracias a Dios el guardia de seguridad estaba al frente, luego de saludarlo le pedí permiso para tomar fotos e hice varias preguntas sobre esta espectacular construcción donde actualmente funciona una oficina del ifie.
The Instituto de Formación e Innovación Educativa (ifie) offers training for young people and adults in technology and visual arts (card making, banners, 3 D design, social networks, drawing and painting, languages, among others), it is the first time I see this great work of colonial architecture, often where we least imagine there is a house with an interesting history to know; According to the information provided by the security guard, the house belonged to a family of Spanish origin, many of their descendants emigrated from the country and the house was left in charge of a relative, who to sell the house to the new owners put as a condition to maintain the same design as far as possible in order to preserve the legacy and name of this important family in colonial times.
The members of this family (during the colonial era) held important positions in the public administration and were well known in the city, among them military and governors; the house has been repaired but preserving the original design, especially in the facade that stands out for its beautiful decorations.
El Instituto de Formación e Innovación Educativa (ifie) ofrece capacitación para los jóvenes y adultos en el área tecnológica y artes visuales (elaboración de tarjetas, banners, diseño 3 D, redes sociales, dibujo y pintura, idiomas, entre otros), es la primera vez que veo esta gran obra de la arquitectura colonial, muchas veces donde menos lo imaginamos existe una casa con una interesante historia por conocer; de acuerdo a la información suministrada por el guarda de seguridad, la casa pertenecía a una familia de origen español, muchos de sus descendientes emigraron del país y la casa quedó a cargo de un familiar, quien para venderle la casa a los nuevos propietarios puso como condición mantener el mismo diseño en la medida de lo posible con el objetivo de preservar el legado y nombre de esta importante familia en la época colonial.
Los miembros de esta familia (durante la época colonial) ejercieron importantes cargos en la administración pública además eran muy conocidos en la ciudad, entre ellos destacaron militares y gobernantes; la casa se ha reparado pero conservando el diseño original, especialmente en la fachada que resalta por sus hermosas decoraciones.
The walls are of light yellow color and the cornices of intense yellow color, in the superior part it has a cornice that is divided in two lines, in the superior line several small columns and yellow rectangles are located with a design of flowers in high relief that identified to the family; in the inferior line the figures of reptiles stand out, I do not know the name of this species and the guard does not have information on the matter; they are very showy and curious, in addition the design is realistic, its color is white and combines with the yellow tone of the cornice.
The door is quite tall, the wooden frames as well as the two door leaves that have rectangle designs; A fact that was completely unknown to me is the height of the doors of the colonial houses, the guard explained that the heads of the family entered the house mounted on the horse and for that reason at the time of building the doors special attention was dedicated to the height and width of the door so that it could enter and exit comfortably without the need to get off the horse, in addition inside the house there is a corridor with the appropriate dimensions for the horse to pass and a space where it rests and drinks water.
Las paredes son de color amarillo claro y las cornisas de color amarillo intenso, en la parte superior tiene una cornisa que se divide en dos líneas, en la línea superior se ubican varias columnas pequeñas y rectángulos amarillos con un diseño de flores en alto relieve que identificaban a la familia; en la línea inferior destacan las figuras de reptiles, desconozco el nombre de esta especie y el guarda no tiene información al respecto; son muy llamativas y curiosas, además el diseño es realista, su color es blanco y combina con el tono amarillo de la cornisa.
La puerta es bastante alta, los marcos de madera al igual que las dos hojas de la puerta que tienen diseños de rectángulos; un dato que desconocía por completo es la altura de las puertas de las casas coloniales, el guarda explicó que los jefes de familia entraban a la casa montados en el caballo y por ello a la horade construir las puertas se dedicaba especial atención a la altura y ancho de la puerta para que pudiese entrar y salir cómodamente sin necesidad de bajarse del caballo, además en el interior de la casa hay un pasillo con las dimensiones apropiadas para que pase el caballo y un espacio donde descansa y toma agua.
The external design of the door consists of a yellow triangle in high relief in the upper part, divided in several lines and with white decorative flowers, on the sides there are yellow ribbons that frame the door; the design of the white roof with wooden slats can also be observed; it has three windows in the front part that rest on a trapeze-shaped base, the bars are black with spearhead designs in the terminations and ornaments in the upper and lower part. There are also yellow rectangles with beautiful designs of flowers and figures that identified the family and are an important part of their legacy.
El diseño externo de la puerta consta de un triángulo en alto relieve de color amarillo en la parte superior, divido en varias líneas y con flores decorativas de color blanco, a los lados destacan cintas de color amarillo que enmarcan la puerta; también se puede observar el diseño del techo en color blanco con listones de madera; tiene tres ventana en la parte frontal que reposan sobre una base en forma de trapecio,las rejas son de color negro con diseños de punta de lanza en las terminaciones y adornos en la parte superior e inferior. También se aprecian rectángulos amarillos con hermosos diseños de flores y figuras que identificaban a la familia y forman parte importante de su legado.
My favorite part of this incredible construction that dates back to the colonial era is the coat of arms located very close to the door, its colors are striking and the figures have a particular design, at the top it has a crown and at the bottom there are figures that They look like hearts or apples, at this point I cannot say what the figure is, they are speculations and according to what I was able to observe and the information given by the kind man who attended me and explained part of the history of this house; The coat of arms is relatively new, for its restoration they resorted to family documents where the original design can be seen; I liked the design of this house and its history, the new owners do everything possible to preserve its design and the legacy of a family that was an important part of Venezuelan colonial society.
Mi parte favorita de esta increíble construcción que data de la época colonial es el escudo de armas ubicado muy cerca de la puerta, sus colores son llamativos y las figuras con un diseño particular, en la parte superior tiene una corona y en parte inferior figuras que parecen corazones o manzanas, en este punto no puedo afirmar cual es la figura, son especulaciones e acuerdo a lo que pude observar y la información dada por el amable señor que me atendió y explicó parte de la historia de esta casa; el escudo de armas es relativamente nuevo, para su restauración recurrieron a documentos familiares donde se aprecia el diseño original; me gustó el diseño de esta casa y su historia, los nuevos propietarios hacen todo lo posible por conservar su diseño y el legado de una familia que formó parte importante de la sociedad colonial venezolana.
