[ENG/ESP] Ladies of Hive Community Contest #121: True Beauty - ¿A Terrible Job?
Hello my dear friends of HIVE, happy Wednesday for everyone, we are already in the middle of the week and as we are used to, our beautiful community of #ladiesofhive, brings us a new Contest, the #122 and through two interesting questions that our friend @justclickindiva, left us, we can reflect together on beauty, and talk a little more about ourselves regarding that job that is not given to us in any way.
¿Why do I think society places so much value on beauty when it serves no functional purpose?
First of all we should not generalize, we know that there are many who overvalue "beauty" in different areas and do not understand the real meaning of that word and that is why they do not give it a functional purpose, but there are those who do understand what is the true beauty of a person; as I feel that it is a very complex issue, which can have several types of development, I would like to talk from my point of view, which is an area where we observe much the value given to the superficial beauty for a purpose that in the end does not have such a logical function.
It is common to see when you go out and pass by certain stores, supermarkets, malls, posters looking for employees between an age range not exceeding 25 years and "good looks", we know that for them good looks, is a young and attractive woman, no matter how prepared she is to assume her position, because the main purpose is to capture the attention of the public, in some cases it works, but in others it does not, depending on the position, I will explain why:
In the job where I am currently working, in the first months there was a "Woman" Manager, who gave much value to the superficial beauty of her employees, she only hired staff with good presence, more women than men, for positions with customer contact, such as "cashier and customer service", for the sole reason of "attracting the attention of customers, so that they keep going to buy more often", I can not deny that it had its effect, because I could notice it, but that was not enough, since the cashier department, unlike the customer service required more prepared personnel, and many were not, they made mistakes that cost money to the company, and immediately they were fired, to hire new personnel with the same characteristics, until they found those who could perform the position correctly and meet the only requirement required by the Manager "to have good presence".
This ended when there was a change of management, and a new "man" manager came in, who in less than a month, restructured the staff, taking into account the preparation and experience of the new hires, but also something I noticed, is that he takes into account what we are as people, as he says he will not fall into the error of only being impressed by what he sees visually in an employee, I want to know them, know what they think, notice their performance, and based on that, work in favor of the company.
This Manager, I think he knew how to find the true value of the beauty of his employees, achieving after some changes, a staff that works as in their position, according to their performance, where you can notice the true beauty of each one of us when we work in harmony and correctly.
I believe that many people in the labor market give importance to superficial beauty, because they believe it is the best way to sell more, but they do not take into account their preparation, the inner beauty of that person and therefore, the real purpose, which is to generate more income, is lost.
¿In what job would it be absolutely terrible?
Without thinking about it, Physician Surgeon, I would be terrible in that job, knowing how important they are, how many lives, these incredible health professionals have saved, but with me many lives would be lost 😄 To tell you that when I am watching a movie where the wounds are deep, where there are killings, where you see the inside of the person, their organs, blood, I look away and even if I want to try to see a little, something in me prevents me, my partner tells me that I have to see, because every scene is important, but it is impossible for me to look, I feel that I could not bear to see all that.
What a coincidence, I am answering this question, which in a certain way was touched upon last week; watching a series, where there were several operations, including heart transplantation, let me see very clearly the process of this operation, the scene lasted several minutes, was a time where looking at the wall was more interesting, my partner jokingly told me "thank GOD you did not study to be a surgeon, because I imagine you operating looking at the wall, cutting and suturing what is not", I was funny, but it's true, I could not, it would be very terrible in that job.
Note: This is my uniform when I was in my profession of Special Education; I use the photograph as a reference, but it is not related to any area of Medicine such as pediatrics 😄.
My beautiful friends this was my participation in this interesting and beautiful contest, I hope you like it, I say goodbye, I love you!!!

Hello thank you very much for reading me, blessings!!!
Your welcome, stay awesome, bless you.
Hello @belena2128. This is truly a person who has the best interests of the company in mind with the attitude of securing personnel with the correct attributes to fulfill the needed position. He seems to understand the inner self worth of a person and what they may bring to the table. Kudos for him as you say,
I wish all potential employers would take his example.
Also, I understand your position when it comes to working in the medical field. It is not for me either for the same reasons. I have to turn my head at the sight of opening up any body to work on it.
Thanks for your thoughts on the topics.
Take care and have a good rest of your week.
Hello my dear friend, thank you for taking the time to read me, I value it very much, it's nice to see how you support the other women who make life in this community; hugs and blessings !!!
Hello, thank you very much for your valuable support, blessings!!!
You have received 1.0000 LOH for posting in Ladies of Hive. We believe that you should be rewarded for the time and effort spent in creating articles. The goal is to encourage token holders to accumulate and hodl LOH tokens over a long period of time.
Service industry specially does these things, cabin crew, hotel front desk staff, supermarkets representative, everyone wants to see good faces and it's a belief that if there are good faces at display their products will sell, like the supermarket you mentioned. It's the change that we ourselves have to bring by being ok with whoever is on the other side of the table.
Hello friend, thank you for reading, a very accurate comment you give, it is the harsh reality we live.
Greetings and Blessings!
