Weekend was long enough
I'm normally a huge fan of the weekend but this week, I've got something I'm really looking forward to and because of that, I simply can't wait to start the weekend.
The thing is, I sent out an internal job application and the response time is within five working days. So, I should be expecting a response within this week.
Getting a response doesn't automatically mean I've gotten the role, of course. There's going to be an aptitude test or something like that afterwards.
On Friday, I got some good news from my manager. I was recently confirmed as a full employee of the company, which means officially passing my probation.
For the most part, I was pretty certain that I'd pass the probation because I spoke with my manager multiple times about it and he gave me assurances. I didn't have any gaps during my time at the company and my performances were at an acceptable level from the get go.
I adapted strategies to improve outcomes and put in extra effort by researching ways to improve. It worked out and now that's settled, I'm eagerly looking forward to the next chapter.
As a full employee, going through probation at least means that my job is at least secured. Now it's about getting necessary qualifications in place to get me into management.
