Splinterlands proposes Energy Capture Rate marketplace less than 48 hours after my publication

In what is either a coincidence or perhaps a byproduct of some of my recent publications, Splinterlands has started conversations about changes to the Energy Capture Rate system. The proposed change, according to the recent AMA, looks to include an internal marketplace of sorts, for ECR.

Recall that only two days ago, I talked about how the change in the reward system has been seriously draining my collection power and how an ECR marketplace could be a nice idea.

I also posted a series of tweets about my constantly depleting ECR and also how it affects me emotionally in the game.

Generally speaking, people were not necessarily averse to the idea. However, most people struggled to see how this would work in reality.

I'm very terrible at attending AMAs due to the time zone and my exertions. However, I always catch the review and watch the recording.

Anyway, in my publications and tweets, I suggested that participants enquire about it in the next AMA that was held yesterday. Is it possible that one of the participants from my publications or tweets brought this to the house?

Very draining

The new reward system for daily and season rewards is very draining. You spend a lot of time and ECR brawling your ass off to get maximum rewards.

Unfortunately, all that battling means you earn a lot less per ranked battle due to your constantly depleting ECR.

For me, introducing a way to generate ECR through potions, vouchers or however it is described only makes sense. It's one of the ways to boost the fun factor of the game.

If we shelved the financial part and all the emphasis on breaking even, there's still an emotional aspect about your ECR. Just seeing it so low and earning so little DEC is depressing.

Now, going back to the previously shelved finance. Players are interested in making money but keep in mind that potions never offer concrete promises, only "chances".

So let's say a way to buy ECR as potions gets added to the internal marketplace, it could be done in a probably fair and random manner. Hell, it doesn't even have to be random, just making it available will be cool.

Keep in mind that if an ECR boost potion is introduced, all the tokens used there get burnt right? Means this could be another approach to cut down the supply of a token as a community, thereby potentially leading to even some greens.

In summary

It all started as conversations on Twitter and posts on Hive but it might have gotten to the ears of Splinterlands.
