Polycub offers consistent value for investors
Polycub is shaping up to be an exciting project. The recent developments have been reflected in the price of the token.
For matters concerning Polycub, I try not to focus on short term changes in the price. However, when you think about it, the "long term" is just a combination of many short term periods.
The most prominent move in recent times is the addition of a governance feature to XPolycub. This coin voting feature enables the community to pretty much choose where yields are.
In the process, it has created some sort of internal competition, which in turn, has reflected in a minor pump in the value of Polycub.
How it works is that investors that stake Polycub into XPolycub can now use that Xpolycub to cast votes on which vault gets the most yield.
The Leofinance account explained how this will work in the long run in this post. However, what you need to note in everything is that;
- Voting will be cast weekly
- You don't necessarily need to vote every week, because your previous vote will still be counted
- You only need to vote when you want to change your vault choice
- Each wallet address can vote for two different vaults.
Thanks to this coin voting process, the Phive vault ended up at the top of the list. This was particularly pleasing for me because that's the vault that I'm most invested in.
Anyway, the situation is as I mentioned earlier. The vault with the most votes will earn the most yield for investors.
Also, investors that are in competing vaults will then need to stake more Polycub into XPolycub. Which, as you know, will ensure that first of all, the Xpolycub ratio continues going up and also will he healthy for the growth of the platform.
Farming Farming Farming
One of the interesting and unmentioned aspects of the Polycub situation is the fact that, as the months go by, there will be a halving.
Right now, we're still farming at a rate of 0.5 PC per block. That will change to 0.25, then 0.125 and so on.
This means that as the days go by, Polycub token will become scarcer, which in turn means that whatever little that is available will be held precious.
Goin back to the coin voting feature, note that as Polycub becomes scarcer, investors will want more yield driven towards the vault they're invested in.
This scenario could cascade into an all-out frenzy to grab more Polycub, stale it to XPC, and then vote for their vault of choice. This, in turn, could translate into a Polycub pumpathon due to internal competition.
One of the fun things about this scenario is that even if you're not part of the most voted vault, your Polycub that your farm from other vaults will still pump due to the competition. So at the end of the day, everybody eats.
On top of that, Leofinance also announced an incoming feature where XPC could be locked for a year and then the locker is granted super-voting privilege.
When that feature is introduced, there will even be less Polycub in circulation since investors will want whatever few Polycub in existence to be minted in their own vault.
So, in the long run, what we'll end up having is a very scarce commodity in Polycub, leading to coin voting competition that will inevitably drive the price up.
For now, it might not be too obvious, especially with the block rate still at 0.5 and the general crypto market in shambles. However, sometime in the future, when investor confidence spikes again, we'll see something quite different from what we have today.
In summary
It is important to keep in mind that Polycub is a project for the future. In fact, what we have now will pale in comparison to what we'll have by this time next year.
Whether it's coin voting, or loans/bonds, one thing we know for sure is that XPC will be at the center of many developments coming to the project.
With a variety of value accrual schemes running in the background, Polycub is aiming consistently bring value to investors.

I had some liquidity in the ETH-DAI pool on Polycub. I aped into Polycub token yesterday. I converted the DAIs to PolyCub. I own %2 of the PolyCub-ETH liquidity right now. Let's see how things will roll out.

The way you put it long term is a combination of many short terms makes the long time wait bearable.
We just expecting a UI for the voting system to make it better
