Foot, Knee and Toe

I had a three hour badminton session yesterday and even till now, I can still feel the strain on my body. I was originally scheduled to play in a 1:30 minutes time frame but seeing as I had already booked an
earlier session for my wife that I figured I'd just do both.

Actually, the thing is, we actually wanted to process a refund for my wife's ticket but it wasn't working. So, instead of letting it go to waste, we decided to just put it to use.

Anyway, I got there a bit early and the place was empty. However, I noticed a lot of police presence in the area. It turns out that due to the goose festival going on now, there's more police in the area.

It is nice to be able to walk to where I play badminton. The sessions involve a lot more rest in between but they're very intense because I play against other intermediate players.

I've been playing doubles and while I still prefer singles matches, I'm finding the doubles game to be a bit more exciting and difficult. There's just way too much to consider and the court just seems compressed because of the number of people playing.

I also struggle with mentally tuning to doubles mood. My body moves instinctively towards the shuttle and I simply just want to crash it into my opponent's court.

Anyway, the point is that I had an intense session of badminton yesterday and I'm still feeling the strain in my joints. It's the good type of pain you experience after an intense workout session, so all is well with the world.
