Runi Chronicles: Second Runi on duty!

One of my best Twitter accounts is Splinterlands. It keeps me informed about all the important news in the ecosystem and #Hive posting events like a media challenge. In my opinion, those challenges are an incredible way of increasing the pride of being part of this community, as every player shares his/her game experience with others, allowing others to learn about everyone's successes and mistakes. For this one, I will share my great acquisition: My second Runi! Instead of owning tons of plots, I plan to have plots ruled by Runis. I will also share my main account update and how I plan my next steps in this fantastic game. Hope you like it!

Budget Management Update

Here we are facing the strongest part of the bear market we could ever have imagined. I spent a lot of money building my modern deck, assets that have decreased in price a lot of value (bought quix for 12$ and now is 8$ BCX, Baakjira for 8$ and now is 5$... I don't regret any single money spent. I am saving a lot of DEC in rentals, I love this game, I love playing my quests and reaching champion every season with around 15$ spent in rentals and I am slowly planning my land investment :

Although SPS is reaching its ground value of 0,016$ I am bullish on its future. The day SPS will have to be stacked in the game as the requirements for earnings are getting closer. It also offers more than 20%APR and allows players to vote for new initiatives. I do believe in the future of the game and my plan is about powering up day by day. Every match that I play in ranked and every quest I finish I earn SPS. Once the Champion stacking threshold was revealed I updated my big milestone to 250K SPS Stacked. Today I own 33K Stacked. It's a matter of perseverance and being constant. One day we will turn back to that day when assets were so cheap. Keep powering up n stacking SPS!

I've changed my mind with my modern roster completion plan and I will focus on owning all 4 Mana Chaos Legion summoners to avoid rentals (I own 0 today except Quix), and maybe also plan an extension with Rathe and Immortalis, all around would be a 250$ investment with the assets I own today. In my opinion, having a huge collection of summoners, ready to help you in battles will be important in the future. We never know when we'll reach the bottom of the market, but I will be ready to taking a profit.

The strength of the 4 mana summoners, relies on flexibility when facing 3 rulesets combats. With the powering up of new soulbound cards, Kelya owns Lux in some battles when Lux easily won Kelya. There are lots of battles in that one mana is the difference in being able to play Noa the just and powerful hunting squad formed by Deeplurker, Pelacor Mercenary, and Uraeus. Tarsa has her space on the meta especially in reverse speed and armor rulesets. The strength of Thaddius is spoken by himself, and also fantastic with 2 powerful debuffs, Obsidian will buff all magical creatures, and maybe Sloan is the weakest, but has access to Life creatures who are fantastic. My next acquisition will be the max level of these guyz. There are some battles that I directly lose because I don't have a summoner that fits in. These will never happen again. Every card has its role, and with new soulbound cards, new dynamics are created.

There's an important aspect that in my opinion is not enough highlighted by the community. We are being given Production Points for free every single day that we finish our focus and every season. Since the new reward system was implemented I have been able to play Diamond and Champion regularly, and I have managed to get 10 BCX of Gold Foil Legendaries:

Those legendaries mean a ton of Production points, and what does fit best for a GFL stacked on a land? Runi! I managed an extraordinary fund for a second Runi. Everything went fast and was initiated by @goldmatters who is so bullish on Runis:

I saw this beauty for 0,32 ETH and couldn't stand picking him! Second Runi and welcome to my roster! 2 Runis mean 2 enormous boosts on land, no DEC needs to be stacked, and considering how much GFL we are being given, was the best move!

Beating Kitty with Runi as an MVP

Everyone agrees that Runi will be a must when Land goes live (let's hope his buffs work on Land 1.5!), but what I like most about Runi is how he performs on the battlefield. His ability toolkit is a strong point to consider when choosing him. I faced 37 mana, enrage, explosive weaponry, and no healing. Picking Runi in a smart position would avoid some reflecting damage, and, although we would go last, never misses his attacks. The board looked as follows:

• Every time I play Explosive Weaponry I try to bring a minimum of 2 units with reflecting shields: Tide Bitter is a must for second positions and Runi for 5th, ready to hunt from the backline.
• Even though healing was forbidden, Doctor Scale made a superb job as always. I love this unit, and I love the mechanics he brings to the battlefield.
• I organized an opportunity team support on the back with Dragon Jumper, Deeplurker, and ...finally, we find Runi. For this one, I have no words. Just enjoy the performance So happy this NFT will help me in the Arena while boosting my land production, and so happy having acquired a second one!
