Little Things Matters
I always tell myself that little things matter. Your tiny gesture which you feel doesn’t make any sense might be a big deal for the next person.
If there is one thing I do as a person is to always smile when I say “Hi/Hello” to the next person. I was able to pick that act up when my high school teacher said when you smile while saying Hi to 100 people in a day there is a tendency for 90 people to smile back at you”.
Small gestures could mean lots of things to people. Saying the magic words “Thank you”, and “I’m sorry” are small gestures and they could mean a lot.
Showing appreciation is one thing that I will always support. It’s a charitable act and should be part of you as an individual.
A few days ago, I went to a store to get a few things, then I met a little girl crying. Her loud cry attracted a lot of people we just had to turn to see what was going on. Her mom and a lady were with her.
I could guess the other lady was a friend of the mom. She tried comforting the little girl when the mom said “Don’t comfort her, if she can’t say thank you for little things then she doesn’t deserve anything”. I smiled and went on to get my things but I was able to understand that the mother was trying to teach her little girl how to appreciate little things.
When I was in high school, I got my very first birthday gift from my best friend. It was a perfume. No matter how it was against the school policy to bring such a thing, she still brought it for me. She kept saying “I know it is little but please manage it” To her it felt little but to me, it was a big deal cause that was the first time someone aside my family members was getting me a gift.
My siblings and friends will always ask me “Ib why do you give us gifts when it is not even an occasion” I always tell them, “Consider it a way of me saying thank you for always having my back”.
I think doing this little act has made them see that little things matter and could go a long way in making the next person happy.
A few times you could look at how unappreciative people could be but that doesn’t have to stop you from being good. I always tell myself humans are insatiable but that won’t stop me from showing love and being good. I love seeing people smile so I love to send gifts, no matter how little, because I understand how it feels like when I have someone do something little for me, I could smile for days just because of that.
I think being appreciative is great. With this mentality, I even had to join a Charity group when I relocated for my NYSC. The Charity group was created to give to people and put smiles on their faces. It funny how when we do these little things for them we are happy.
A little way of appreciating them for being alive amidst everything they are going through. Little things matter and it creates good memories for the next person.

Indeed dear friend, little things do matter, we should never neglect the little things. A time screw lose in a plane engine can cause carnage and little drops of water make a mighty ocean
Exactly, from Little Things you could get a greater outcome. Thanks for stopping by☺️

Thank you for leaving a nice comment, I really appreciate☺️
Yes o, I totally agree with you. Little things matters, it might not be much or anything to the person that rendered the help but might be an answer to ones prayer
You are right, thank you for leaving a nice comment.
The pleasure is mine
Yeah I do believe in this too and I like to smile😃
This was so heartwarming to read my love🥹🥹🥹
You look pretty when you smile, keep smiling. Have a lovely weekend☺️
Those little little smiles and gratitude can change a lot. The mom is a good mom, she is teaching her child from childhood.
You are doing great. Even when you do these things it makes you happy.

Thank you so much Liz☺️
Showing appreciation towards little things is a personality that should be learned, for instance I got a lot of good stuff from my uncle because I have the habit of thanking him over time for what he has given me e.g "thanks for the other day". Things such as this might look meaningless but to some people it is what they cherish the most.

You're such a kind person, B, and thoughtful too. Not many people consider it necessary to give people random gifts, no matter how small.
And for the reason that you're a grateful person, you'll always have doors open for you with that behaviour.
By the way, are you still serving? I found this on Dreemport.
Thank you so much for your nice comment, I appreciate.
Yes I am still serving will be rounding up by next year.
Just a little bit of appreciation and kindness can go a long way. Glad I read this. A good reminder of that.
