SMASh 220 - Architecture Model Timber Construction

( EN / DE ) I built this model decades ago for my studies. It was free to choose what to represent, but it was intended to illustrate, on the subject of timber construction, the various ways in which a timber structure can be stabilized. Either by closed surface or by cross beams, as we know them for example from half-timbered houses.

Now it is already very old and has already stains, yet I could never give it away and so it mostly ekes out its lonely existence on the bookshelf. This time, however, it was allowed to the fresh air to stand as a model for the Shadow Hunters Community :-)

I have often wondered how it would feel to have it in life-size form in the garden, would be a nice wind and privacy screen, what do you think?

SMASh 220 - Architektur Modell Holzbau

Dieses Modell habe ich vor Jahrzehnten für mein Studium angefertigt. Es war frei zu wählen, was man darstellt, aber es sollte zum Thema Holzbau die verschiedenen Möglichkeiten veranschaulichen, wie man ein Holzkonstruktion stabilisiert. Entweder durch geschlossene Fläche oder durch Querträger, wie wir sie zum Beispiel von Fachwerkhäusern kennen.

Nun ist es schon sehr alt und hat schon Flecken, dennoch konnte ich mich nie davon trennen und so fristet es zumeist sein einsames Dasein auf dem Bücherregal. Diesmal allerdings durfte es an die frische Luft, um für die Shadow Hunter Community Modell zu stehen :-)

Ich habe mich schon oft gefragt, wie es sich wohl anfühlen würde, es in lebensgroßer Form im Garten stehen zu haben, wäre doch bestimmt ein hübscher Wind- und Sichtschutz, was meint ihr?

Es war schwierig, sich für ein bestimmtes Foto für den Shadow Hunter Contest zu entscheiden, aber ich wählte das erste (auch nochmal als letztes zu sehen). Auch wenn der Schatten eher klein ist, gefällt er mir doch am besten.
