From an eagle's perspective...........Motivational Mondays
Hello everyone, it's great to be here again. Happy new week!
This is Monday 18th September and it's time to get motivated.
The eagle is an interesting bird. I am so fascinated by certain characteristics it possesses. It is a predator and also the king of birds.
These fascinating things about the eagle is what I will be using to relate to our life's experiences, so that we can learn from it greatly.
The eagle is patient
The eagle patiently waits for the right winds before it stretches it's wings and flies. So also in life, you need to be patient and await the right opportunities,in this case winds. The eagle is not like other birds that flap their wings tirelessly to fly, the eagle soars high above because it caught the right wind. Wait patiently for the right opportunity before jumping in to fly, so that you can soar high elegantly.
The eagle has superb eyesight.
The eagle's eyesight is very sharp. They can see as far as three kilometers away. This for me is vision. While you wait for the right winds, what do you envision? What do you see, not physical sight but sight of the mind. One powerful gift we all have as humans is to imagine. Imagination is sight of the mind. You can see far and wide if you make use of the power of your imagination. Learn to see opportunities even before they come knocking.
Eagles have strong grip on their prey.
I have never seen or heard that an eagle was waylaid of it's prey by another bird because it has a very strong and firm grip on it's prey.So also you need to hold on to what you have seen. Don't allow external forces try to talk you out of it. Don't listen to the it's never been done before chorus or the it's unheard of mantra. This quote says it all
When you have a dream, you've got to grab it and never let it go........ Carol Burnett.
Eagles are strategic.
An eagle strategical views where it is to fly, to hunt for prey. It understands that winds don't last forever and so it combines strategic vision with strategic actions. We can learn to be strategic and combine it with strategic sight or vision. The eagle spreads it's wings and soars knowing exactly where it is headed and what it wants from where it is going.
Falling is inevitable in life. Falling refers to making mistakes and errors as we journey through life.
Falling does not make you a failure. Failure is when you fall and you choose to remain on the ground.
Failure is when you give up on what you have seen.
We all encounter bad breaks but should that stop us from trying again?
I remember my physics teacher, one day in class teaching us about the scientist who invented the electric light bulb. He told us that Thomas Edison failed 999 times before he finally succeeded.
At that time, there was no access to verify from Google and so we believed him and strived to excel, irrespective of how many times we did not get it right.
When I got to know that Thomas Edison failed 1000 times I was awe struck. Questions buzzed in my head, like
How did he keep going?
What kept him going?
Why did he not stop at just 50 attempts?
What gave him the strength to keep trying?
Why, why why?
But the answer was clear and glaring at me. He held on to what he had seen and he fought to bring it forth.
As we emerge this week, will you not hold on....for the wind
Now I understand this quote clearly
Failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts.... Winston Churchill..
You got this and you can make it through. Yay!
Have a beautiful week and stay motivated.

The hack an eagle uses to soar is just too good. It seems other birds don't know they can adopt the same method too, that's why they always flap their wings even at peak
Nice motivation from the eagle
Thanks @kingsleyy. Your presence here is always appreciated and your comment is just on point.
Have a great week
Lovely reading ✨
Thanks for stopping by, you are appreciated
A fantastic Motivational Monday post! In fact, this might incidentally be a very patriotic American post, because the bald eagles happens to be our country's mascot lol.
Jokes aside, these are excellent examples, and I do particularly like (and recall) the one about Thomas Edison. He understand the importance of the lightbulb and that it would take many tries to successfully build it the right way. That's the nature of science - and of course, the will to succeed.
Thanks so much for sharing! 😊

The eagle is a majestic creature and favorite of mine. In most of the things we do in life, patience is needed in one way or another. Having a broad vision like the eagle is also needed.
Great post :)
Thank you @takhar. The eagle is also my favorite bird. I'm glad it resonated with you. Have a great week
Great to know, I think the creature is so likeable because of its qualities.
