A bland and tasteless world.
Music is all around us. In the swish of leaves, the chirpings of birds, the whistling of the nightingale, the sound of waves, and even the baritonic croak of toads. In nature, music of diverse kinds can be heard.
Music is food for the soul. A pleasant remedy to the ailments of the soul. Music has been since time immemorial even before the civilization of man. Mothers sang lullabies to coax their crying babies to sleep. Priests made chants im adoration of their reverred deity. Villagers combine sounds together to form a melody when they are celebrating a festival and the reverse song of war is chanted when it is time for battle.
Imagining a world without music is like imagining a world without sunlight, which outrightly means that nature would not exist and everywhere would be bereft of light. Even if nature did exist, it would not thrive as well as it is doing now because without sunlight, plants would die out.
Imagining a world without music is akin to a world without colour and I'm not just referring to the colour of a smart phone camera or camera lens. I'm talking about having a planet without the natural hues that beautifies it . Imagine not being able to see the bright green of fresh leaves, the red of roses, the purple of lavenders, the yellow of sunflowers, the blue of the ocean, the azure of a clear sky nor the seven coloured streaks of a rainbow. For a person who loves aesthetics, that would be devastating.
Imagining a world without music is akin to a chef missing his key ingredient and becoming hopeless because the key ingredient needed for the fusion of other ingredients is missing.
There are so many instances that I can pinpoint to the miraculous effects of music on this world. Music has been said and studied to have these benefits...
Soothing effects on the mind.
Healing effects on the depressed soul.
Cure for boredom.
A link to connecting with the supernatural.
Autism supoort.
A remedy for insomnia.
A good memory enhancer.
An exercise booster.
A great stress relief.
A tool for educational building.
A tool for cultural and social bonding and so much more.
With all the above mentioned benefits, do you still think that a world without music is possible. Personally, I feel that a world without music would make this world bland and lifeless. A world without music will be a very boring world.
Music is the oil that eases the joints of life and makes things flow seamlessly. Music brings happiness. It promotes togetherness and unity. It promotes cultural heritage. It is a means of socialization. It is also a means of communication and self expression, especially to those who might be shy and unexpressive.
A world without music will have no vigour, no zest and no attunation. Time will move at a slow pace because even the "tick-tock sound it makes, which is music to the diligent ears, will be no more. Music is powerful and just like love, music makes the world go round in bliss.

I have never imagined a life without music because it would be impossible. Life would be bland and lifeless just as you said. Music is the color to life and it makes it more fun and enjoyable. For a person like me, I can't imagine not humming to a song every now and then, or listening to songs from my playlist. Music is life.
My dear, same here too. I have even graduated from humming to composing my own tunes with any words, phrase or sentence I hear 😁😁😁
Everything is music for me
Thanks for this lovely comment

Can you imagine...sad thing is this what the Taliban have implemented in Afghanistan!

Arrrggghh! 😱, What the fluff is that?
Banning music is like a death sentence.
